This was the second time we have stayed at the Super 8 Cooke City. It takes about 20 mins drive to get to the park entrance form Super 8, but we did not find this a problem, especially when getting up very early to go and see the wolves, we saw loads of other animals (inc bear) on the way.... more

I would stay here again just because there are few choices and it was the most affordable place around. We stayed in the handicap accessible room and it was very noisy since it was right next to the stairwell and the breakfast room. Our toilet bubbled all night, which was also annoying. The room was average and clean. The breakfast... more

Clean as a whistle! Noisy and no a/c. All popular channels were out on the TV , had been for 2 days. NO WHERE TO EAT EXCEPT STINKY BARS. A SUB WAS $15 as the special was sold out at 6pm. We had West Yellowstone to compare it to and I would give it a 1 and the Gray Wolf... more

My teenager and I stayed here after driving the Beartooth Pass. As we drove into town there was rain and luckily there is a roof over the area where one can check in. Just as we closed our trunk the front desk staff was standing at the doorway, holding the door for us. That was a pleasant and unexpected surprise.... more

This is a very tiny town, with few options. The prices of everything from food to gas to lodging are quite a bit higher than what you'd see in a city, but what can you expect in a town with only one paved road. The hotel/motel is relatively new (as of this writing in 2009), but I have doubts about... more

Plenty nice for a "remote" mountain hotel. Decent breakfast ... clean rooms. Town was on a boil order while we were there ... the hotel made sure that there was bottled water in the rooms and plenty of additional bottles available in the lobby. I appreciate service like that. more

We stayed at this hotel for one night after driving from Deadwood, SD. We arrived very late (due to the Beartooth Highway being closed). We were exhausted and shown to our rooms right away. Nothing to speak of here...basic motel room. Yes, the walls are very thin, but after the looooooong day we had we all slept like babies. It... more

Here's the deal -- in July all the other hotels are $150-200 a night. This Super 8 was $85. This is also located at the Northeast entrance, the most remote entrance into Yellowstone. This Super 8 is fairly tiny -- about 33 rooms -- but the hotel is fairly new, they had an OK continental breakfast, and staff was very... more

Was this the worst hotel I have ever stayed in? No. But it certainly wasn't what I expected. I always check the reviews on TripAdvisor before booking a hotel and when I saw the mostly positive reviews for this Super 8 I thought we should give it a try, so we booked three nights. We were given room 208...DIRECTLY ACROSS... more

Called the property directly to book. Bill told me over the phone that the rates were $104 per night, but when I told him on the website advertised rates were $85 per night, he told me to bring a print out when I check in and he would honor that and he did! The hotel is clean, breakfast is okay... more
