As previously mentioned, yes, this is WEST Glacier, not East. This was a fabulous place to stay. We had hiked for 6 hours, got rained on at our picnic supper, and were ready to crash. However, upon arriving at the hotel and seeing the beautiful property and the view, we were instantly re-energized! Totally gorgeous and one of the best settings of any hotel I've ever stayed at.
The view is incredible. There is a nice little beach. We had a room with a queen and a single in the front and a queen in a separate bedroom--very nice and spacious. Coffeemaker in the room. Decent sized bathroom. Plenty of chairs outside every room on the balcony walkway--everyone was sitting outside at night enjoying the view.
Apgar Village also is a great atmosphere. Lots of activity but not overly busy. 2 gift shops, a restaurant, another motel, ice cream shop, etc. I wish we had stayed here another night instead of staying the previous night at the Glacier Park Lodge.
