I did not enjoy this hotel because the hotel is severely understaffed. First of all, it took forever to check in because, even though everyone in line had advanced online reservations and payment, the process took a long time for each individual. Then there is the fact that they had only one check-in guy. Eventually, another guy came out, but... more
Worn and dingy interior with dim hallway lighting so typical of Super 8 properties that I've encountered. View from our below-grade room was up to some derelict storage sheds. The guest laundry facilities turned out to be a single grungy coin washer and a stacked two-dryer coin unit, all for $1.25 each. Better count on $2.50 to get those clothes... more
We stayed two nights at this motel while visiting the northern section of Yellowstone. The only thing this town has going for it, unfortunately, is its very close proximity to Yellowstone. There were several motels that looked very similar. This one was on the main street of the town with a grocery store across the street and a few restaurants... more
We booked this motel via Expedia for approx 40 GBP pn. It is on the main road heading into town north of the river. Gardiner is in a great position to access the northern part of Yellowstone NP around Mammoth Hot Springs (about 5 miles away) and the Lamar Valley which is great for wildlife. In fact, deer wander into... more
We wanted to be as close to the entrance of Yellowstone Park and found the Super 8 in Gardiner was a perfect fit for us. We weren't looking for luxury or a 5 star hotel, just something close enough to the park and the town. We barely spent any time in the hotel because we intended to spend all of... more
The hotel was great. Usual Super 8, clean, quiet, free breakfast. The breakfast was the usual for Super 8, cereal, bagels, toast, muffins, juice, milk, coffee. Free coffee all day! The views from all of the rooms is beautiful. You can see the park. The town is very nice. Not the tourist trap as some other towns near the park.... more
Very good location. Town of Gardiner itself is surrounded by lovely mountains and is just outside the North Entrance and Roosevelt Gate of Yellowstone National Park. Motel itself was very clean and comfy. Several excellent restaurants within walking distance...recommend the Yellowstone Mine steakhouse. more
The front desk staff were helpful, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The rooms are basic, clean and quiet. The kids loved the pool more
This was a very good room. Don't let the looks on the outside of the hotel fool you. Our room was fine. We were right across from the office/breakfast room and we didn't hear a sound from outside our room. The room was clean and the location was great for entering Yellowstone. The breakfast was continental and fine. Yes, the... more
