If staff's friendliness and efficiency is NOT what you are looking for, then you'll be all right in this hotel. The pool was out of service, the upgraded room (#125) we booked with spa had a hole in the bathroom door, and big red stains on the carpet, dust on the lights, ... and an extremely noisy heater about 30... more

This is really an old place. The two young women at the desk are it's biggest assets. The owner would do well to hold on to them. It seems that one of the big selling points of the place is that you can get a 5.95 continental breakfast at the restaurant they also own. We weren't too excited about that... more

The Best Western in the town of Gardiner was a great little find. The rooms were spotless, beds and pillows super comfortable, toiletries offered were more than some of the upscale hotels and the staff were really helpful. Located between the main road and the Yellowstone River, it had a great view if you pick a mountainview room. Had a... more

Booked a queen double with riverview and specifically asked for a recently updated room with extra pillows. Upstairs room, parking near front door, easy unloading of car. Beautiful view of the Yellowstone River. Yes, room was updated and very clean, yes, extra pillows nicely fluffed up on the beds,... Had two boxes of stuff sent up prior to my arrival... more

Two nights here in mid-Sep. 2009. Nice room--mini-frig, 2 luggage racks (which we really appreciated), comfortable bed, good towels, up-to-date tv channel list. Couldn't ask for more in a standard motel. They have a guest laundry with 3 washers and 2 dryers, but only 1 dryer working while we were there, and 3 of us trying to do laundry at... more

This hotel turned out to be very clean and w/ comfortable accomodations. Ask for a room by the river - very nice scenery to wake up to. It may be a little over-priced for the location but def. the best game in town if you want to be close to Yellowstone NP. more

Our room had a nice view across the river; no wildlife that morning, but there's never any guarantee on where the wildlife will be in Yellowstone. There were Elk wandering around main street though when we went for breakfast. Breakfast was not included, but there was a discount at a nearby restaurant with an okay breakfast buffet that was very... more

The hotel is overpriced - We checked in late evening and we had paid extra for the river view. The room overall was not anything to write about - we found ants on the floor and the bed - both my wife and daughter were bitten by ants while sleeping. The internet did not work apparently as the part had... more

We just returned from a family vacation to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons/Jackson Hole. While in the Yellowstone area, we decided to book a room at the Best Western in Gardiner, MT. After reading some of the reviews prior to leaving, I was experiencing some doubts. The moment I walked into the room, those doubts were put to rest. The room... more

This was the only place we could find a room. It became clear why. We had to move rooms 3 times due to a leaky fridge, the bed not made, and general uncleanliness. The last room was grubby but we took it as we'd had enough of shifting. They promised to clean the next day-they did not even go into... more
