Livingston is an hour or so from the north entrance to Yellowstone and I feel that we paid a reasonable price for a nice motel this close to the park. Our room was small, but clean. The staff was helpful. There is a nice shop on site. A hot breakfast came with the room. It was served in the motel restaurant, but was selected from a limited menu. The food was good, but all the choices were small portions, so if you are hungry, you might need to buy something more. The motel has a small indoor pool. The water was pretty cold, but we enjoyed it anyway. Note that they will charge you $1.50 for the use of the safe unless you specifically tell them you didn't use it. Also, since there are five in our family, a roll-away bed was specified on our reservation. We didn't get the roll-away (we used our own inflatable bed) and we had to ask them to take the roll-away charge off our bill, too. more
