We reserved a wheelchair accessible room but when we arrived the room reserved required steps. The front desk manager questioned us as if we were at fault and humiliated my wife. She had a more expensive accessible room and expected us to pay for their error. The second night they put us the east building which is very old and... more

Do not stay here. We were in Glacier last summer and the resort looked so nice from the main lobby. So we made reservations to stay and they put us in a small motel across the street. It reminded me of the Bates Motel from the movie, "Psycho". Nothing like the main building across the street. I felt like we... more

From every perspective, this was probably the worst place we ever paid to stay: 1. Borderline legal practice: the front staff assigned us to a room with no window which looked literally like a broom closet, and that was after she specifically described the room was to have a window. Whether she did that knowingly or not is beside the... more

It was a special day for us on our travels and St. Mary's Lodge and Resort sounded (by their brochure)as the spot to celebrate. The architecture (lovely log construction) of the resort is grand and alluring but unfortunately that is where it stops! Trying to make a reservation, should have been my first indicator; the experience was more like trying... more

This resort was nothing like I had reserved. I had booked a luxury tipi. Upon booking the description noted heating, electricity, fire pit and tv. Prior to our arrival, this was determined to be a fire hazard and all of the amenities were removed. We were not informed of this until we arrived though. When we got to our tipi,... more

Came down from Canada on the way south late at night had no choice but to stay, main foyer is beautiful but rooms are like any other $100.00 a night room which ended up costing me $325.00 for the night after conversion to canadian dollar--will not go back and will advise all I know to avoid at all costs........... more

Because I was traveling for with my dog, I was relegated to the East Lodge where I had no phone, no internet, no working television, no working bed lamps, and no working smoke detector. When we complained and asked to have some of these things fixed, we were told to leave. Having already paid $168 for the room, we said... more

If you can avoid staying in St Mary do so. Not many places to stay. Stay in East Glacier or West Glacier much more selection. This is a one cow town with one main hotel. Even the store was owned by the same people. We arrived late in the evening after a winding road from East Glacier. The road to... more

My wife and I were on a road trip, and stopped at this hotel on the way back from Canada to Seattle airport. The main hotel foyer is nice, but our room was very average. However, what really cheeses me off is that they charged me for two nights stay when I only stayed one night. I've been trying to... more

More like a chain with the same "time share pressure:" you find in Mexico. Book early and go to any of the National Park official sites. THIS RESORT IS NOT ONE> Great location, but room, service, and "pressure" greatly overpriced. Drive down the road to St. Mary's for the true, less touristy, Glacier experience. We were overcharged and then recharged... more
