Al's was very clean with a large room with two queen size beds. The staff was extremely accomodating and friendly. There was a TV, no phone (everyone has a cell phone anyway) and thank goodness, no wireless internet. With all of the restaurant choices in town, there was no need for an on sight food facility. more

Nothing fancy - just clean, comfortable, safe, and convenient, totally in keeping with the Yellowstone Park experience. Al's is withing walking distance of everthing in West Yellowstone and across the street from Yellowstone Park entrance. Mrs. Parker is the owner, the maid, the clerk, and the knowledgeable tour advisor. The price can't be beat. more

Al's was basic and old, but clean. The shower wasn't good - kept getting very hot and very cold. The location was good - a short walk to all of the stores and restaurants in town. I would stay here again for the same price (we paid $68 per night). more

We found this place via a AAA Book many years ago. We have always stayed there on any trip to Yellowstone. They are basic rooms, however the location is perfect. If you want to see the park, then all you need to do is look across the street. The park entrance (via auto) is less than a quarter mile away.... more
