I just returned from a week at Big Mountain. It was awesome. All runs were open, even on the weekdays. The staff and locals were very friendly. Many even remembered me and called me by name. Our condo was very clean and stylishly furnished. We had a great experience and will definately be returning in the future. more

We spent a week at the Big Mountain and found that part of the mountain was indeed closed on weekdays. The closed area was high and nice. The Hellroaring Basin was open but just too dangerous for my family. Apparently the trails were not completed in the bottom of the basin causing great congestion through huge trees. Hmmmm...strange review from this person...I was skiing on Big Mountain December 21 to December 25 and there were no, and I repeat, no closed ski runs or areas. There was beautiful snow and beautiful weather. And I have inquired about a "non-refundable" lift ticket, and there is absolutely no such. If you want your money back, they will happily give... more

Great ski hill, terrible management. They advertise being 100% "open", however visitors discover that part of the area is closed weekdays after purchasing a non-refundable lift ticket. The part that stays open is a low dangerous mess, filled with rocks and trees, the closed area is high and powdery. more

Big Mountain is a great place for vacation. The people are so friendly and the powder is awesome. Nothing is better than a lot of powder from days on end. Everyone should atleast try Big Mountain. You are sure to enjoy your stay. more
