Our five day stay was just about perfect. The resident managers were quite helpful and charming with good recommendations. We stayed in the Oberlin which is the kingsize, river view with small patio and jacuzzi tub. This is one of the quietest places we have ever stayed. As mentioned before, the bed was wonderful. We were a little concerned about... more

My wife and I had a ten day motorcycle trip from Rochester, Mn to Glacier Park and back in early July. Less than one hour before our departure my mother tore her esophagus and passed away three days later. We contacted all the motels and inns to cancel our trip within the hour of the hospital call. The only lodging... more

The proprietor of The Duck Inn, Richard, is an opportunistic shyster. In addition to making multiple inappropriate comments - to include offering to send my boyfriend to the Best Western (*wink*wink*) - he is running a total bait and switch operation. When we called to inquire about rooms, we were told the only availability was a suite that slept a... more

Stayed for two nights at the Duck - very friendly and welcoming staff. Chose the riverside king room - absolutely gorgeous, own private balcony to sit and watch the ducks pass by, whilst enjoying a glass of wine. The garden at the rear enjoys nightly visits from a deer that comes to graze at the river. The owners have done... more

This Was the best stay that I've had in Whitefish Montana. It offered spacious rooms with excellent river views, and there is often wildlife passing through. They have rustic decor with a modern touch. I was extremely pleased with the service of the staff, and best off all was the continental breakfast! more

We originally planned to only stay 2 nights at the Duck Inn but loved it so much we stayed a 3rd night. We had a river room with a king sized bed, fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was wonderful (esp the waffles) and we were close enough to Glacier National Park for easily driving in every day. The staff... more

My sister and I arrived in Montana a day earlier than planned and made a last minute reservation at the Duck Inn. Our stay was so pleasant that we regretted having to move to another hotel. Our flight arrived late at night and Rich, the innkeeper, was kind enough to pick us up at the airport. Since we were only... more

The hotel was full so we booked a 1 bedroom condo, assuming that it meets the same standards as the hotel. Do not book the condo unless you like listening to trains all night, the large rail yard is less than 1 block away. The condos are next to a trailer park and in a building that compares more to... more

We loved this place. I couldn't figure out how it was on the water (you can see water on their website but it isn't near the lake), but it is on a river. We booked late so didn't have a water view, but we weren't there much (went to Glacier National Park and got back at 10:30 at night) so... more
