We had a great time at Niobrara State Park! We reserved a cabin along the river, close to the lodge, a playground and the swimming pool. The cabin was very modern with an adequate kitchen, a table that would seat 8, couch and chair. This cabin had 3 bedrooms, 2 with queens and 1 with 2 sets of bunks. There were also 2 rollaway beds available. There would be plenty of floor space for an air mattress, but do not plan to sleep on the couch. It was like a hospital waiting room couch-not fit for sleeping on! The best room in the house was the screened in porch that offered a view of the sunset and the river. We stayed in cabin 17 and could easily walk to the pool. We also could walk to the lodge, where we enjoyed buffalo burgers and sides one evening, along with an informative seminar on birds of the region. One morning, we enjoyed a trail ride. Kids have to be at least 6 to go, but they let our smaller kids take a ride around the corral before hand. The trail ride was gorgeous... more
