My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Wilber Hotel. This hotel built in 1895 is a bed and breakfast listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Each of the eleven guest rooms is charmingly and uniquely decorated by a prominent local family. Guests share modern dormitory-style rest rooms. In complying with safety standards, the rooms are equipped with smoke detectors and a sprinkler system. The continental breakfast includes fabulous freshly-baked kolaches, a Czech pastry, and delicious home cooking is available in the dining room, open Thursdays through Mondays. Wilber, Nebraska, an ethnic Czech community, also has a wonderful library and museum. more
