I am a frequent traveler to Southern Nevada and Northern Arizona. Usually I stay in Laughlin, but I have always been curious about the Blue Sky Motel. I can't say how many times I have drive by and thought "I'd like to check that place out." I finally remembered to do so while making reservations for an upcoming trip.
We checked in at the bar in the casino/post office/restaraunt across the street and drove back across to the room. I think there are only about ten or twelve rooms at the property. The motel is on the same lot as the market and an RV park. There is a pool, but being that it was January, it was a little cold to try it out. However, with regard to the room: it was gigantic. It was spotless. And they had among the hottest water I have ever encountered, especially in an independently-owned motel. After having driven all day, I must make it clear that the Blue Sky Motel is certainly a good choice for a calming break from the road.
