Stayed in the Carnival tower (which I understand is older) and the room is just tired. It's old, worn and in fact, so worn that there was duct tape (red on the brown carpet) holding the carpet down. checked in and asked for updated room..we had 5 nts comped. offered us a room in carnival tower - for $15 more a nt. said no tks..she gave us a room in mardi gras tower, facing the strip. very nice linens, and clean. other than no flat screen tv - i'm not sure it could have been nicer. the harrahs... more

The room " non-smoking" was well appointed, and my sister & I were excited about our weekend get-a-way. The employees from valet on up were freindly and helpful, the Starbucks at the bottom of our elevator was a plus for that early morning coffee run. Returned to Vegas in January of 2010 and decided to give Harrahs another try (the first one wasn't the most memorable) and this time we were much happier indeed. Our Deluxe room met our expectations, was very clean & quiet. The majority of our days booked were comped and we love its locations so this wasn't too hard to accept.... more
