I highly recommend Sam's Town; it's my favorite place to stay and gamble in Vegas. Comps are more than fair and the staff is the friendliest in town. But be aware you will want a car if you stay here; it is nowhere near anything you'd want to visit. The casino does run shuttles between the Strip and Downtown but,... more

I recently stayed at Sam's Town LV. I hadn't been there for two years. I found the Dealers, Cocktail Waitresses and other personnel to be welcoming and friendly. I quickly remembered why I have gone to Sam's in the past. Personnel I had not seen in some time remembered my name and told me they missed me. They were very... more

This is a hotel geared for the family. Easy to get in and out of and comfortable. While definitely not five star, it accommodates well for a person looking for something affordable and quiet off of the strip. They have a show in the lobby in the evening which is Disney-esque but will pass as entertaining especially for the real... more

We have been visiting Sam's Town since the early 90s; sometimes as often as 4 or 5 times a year. It is not a large hotel, which is part of its charm for us. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is friendly. Many of them recognize us although they have no reason to know our names. The restaurants are good... more

This is my second time at Sams Town so I knew what to expect generally. Booked a room online at a good rate and since it was mid-week, off season and few people about, I asked for an inside room. They were willing to give me one if I ponied up another $20 a night so I declined - the... more

If you're going to stay there don't get a room above the waterfall because the sound from the show is noisy unless you plan on bring ear plugs. Another thing is,they need to replace the beds and pillows which are horrible. Bring your own pillow more

It was two years since our last trip to Vegas and we were determined to start in a place that feels like home. Check-in is still friendly, the casino is still mercifully free of the flashy types who gravitate towards the south end of the Strip, and there is room to breathe. Speaking of which, cigarette smoke seemed to hang... more
