Probably the nicest and classiest hotel in the downtown area. Very friendly staff and crew. Our hostess, Nicole was very thorough and concerned that all of our needs and wishes were addressed. I wouls suggest requesting a room in the north tower if you want to be close to Freem, ont Street. more

We have never stayed downtown before, but...We would stay at the Golden Nugget again! My daughter saw the Shark Pool on the Travel Channel and asked if we could go and check it out. I called and was shocked at how inexpensive the rate are. We booked two nights and got a $25 room credit to spend in the hotel.... more

I stayed at the Golden Nugget on a business trip recently and was pleasantly surprised by the rooms on the Gold Club floor. Watch out for rooms that face on the Fremont Street light show as you can hear the music like the band is in your room When I called they moved me immediaely to a quieter room on... more

As a Tour Bus Driver, I've had the misfortune to stay here twice, within the last month. The rooms are okay, but only two out of the four elevators serving floors between 2-9 were working, in the South Tower, leading to long lines and frustrated guests. As for my experience, I needed to load 42 suitcases in the morning prior... more

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of the tour. We were given standard room on the South Tower -- as you will expect massive hotel with 2 towers North & South. As we were a tour group we only given the South Tower room because non-refurbished room and far from all the restaurants in the... more

The GN was absolutely the best downtown casino hotel I've stayed at! The staff I came across were friendly and helpful from the gal at Starbucks to Andrew the waiter in the Carson St Cafe. My daughter and I were in the South Tower and the room was great! She liked the dressing table with the lighted mirror. Gordy Brown... more

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. We were traveling with another couple and at time of reservation (online) we both made note that we were traveling together and would like to stay near each other. We checked in at different times, however, since we were flying from different cities, and that request must have been too much... more

This hotel is horrible. What happened to the fun Vegas? There are so many kids running rampid you can not have any fun. They are in the casino & of course parents drop their kids off at the pool while they gamble. I pulled a two year old out of the water because her mother was too busy drunking &... more

We enjoyed the hotel and Fremont Street from the moment we walked onto it. The hotel staff was nothing but polite and helpful. Our room was an older one (South Tower) but was very clean and maintained. We had one small problem. The bathroom sink didn't drain the first time we used it, but my husband called the front desk... more
