The GN was absolutely the best downtown casino hotel I've stayed at! The staff I came across were friendly and helpful from the gal at Starbucks to Andrew the waiter in the Carson St Cafe. My daughter and I were in the South Tower and the room was great! She liked the dressing table with the lighted mirror. Gordy Brown... more

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. We were traveling with another couple and at time of reservation (online) we both made note that we were traveling together and would like to stay near each other. We checked in at different times, however, since we were flying from different cities, and that request must have been too much... more

This hotel is horrible. What happened to the fun Vegas? There are so many kids running rampid you can not have any fun. They are in the casino & of course parents drop their kids off at the pool while they gamble. I pulled a two year old out of the water because her mother was too busy drunking &... more

We enjoyed the hotel and Fremont Street from the moment we walked onto it. The hotel staff was nothing but polite and helpful. Our room was an older one (South Tower) but was very clean and maintained. We had one small problem. The bathroom sink didn't drain the first time we used it, but my husband called the front desk... more

The G.N. iscertainly the class of the downtown hotels. Always feel comfortable at the Nugget and they seem to take care of their costomers. The cafe still has tasty meals and the rooms are very nice. I will stay here every time we stay downtown! more

Some friends and I stayed there for three nights for a bachelor party in Vegas and had a good time. Pros: Large, clean, and recently renovated rooms. (Make sure you get one of the renovated ones. They charged $10 extra and it was worth it.) Everyone on staff we talked to was very nice. Great water slide at the pool.... more

I often travel to LV on business and if possible, I will always book a room @ the Golden Nugget for the following reasons: * Best Location for quick freeway access * Excellent food, fun, including the Fremont Experience * Really nice rooms with great beds * Starbucks next door (a must for me) * They upgraded me to a... more

the hotel is in Fremont street but Fremont street experience is a little bit exaggerated.Besides the giant screen they have on Fremont street and below average band playing music at night , there are nothing else to see. The H2O tank inside hotel is pretty nice but its always full of people and kids.I should have stayed at the Strip.... more

I am a huge fan of staying downtown Las Vegas and this was my first stay at the Golden Nugget. The hotel and casino were very clean and staff was very nice! Grotto's restaurant was fabulous.....highly recommend the pizzas! Pool was awesome as well but go a bit early to grab a good chair. Dealers were very nice and helpful... more

Let me preface by saying I've stayed at the Bellagio and the Palazzo (both of which had gorgeous rooms) and I was very hesitant to stay here. But I decided to take a risk and I'm glad I did. We stayed on the 22nd floor of the South Tower in a room supposedly remodeled in 2009 and we paid $49... more
