I've stayed at many types of properties in LV, from the luxurious to the downright seemy, but I've never seen anything quite like this. I figured, at the reasonable price, this aging but venerable property would deliver a not-so hip but passable stay, after all, with a classic name, surely they have a reputation to uphold, right? Wrong. As you... more

We recently stayed at the Tropicana as part of the AARP convention. This place is a dump. The restaurant was closed, the bars were closed, and the room was awful and dirty. On top of that, they over charged my credit card afterwards and it is not easy to get them to fix it. This place needs to be torn... more

The first and only night my daughter and I stayed at the Tropicana on the strip it was the most awful place we stayed on our 3000 mile road trip. We paid $180.00 to stay for the night, went to the casino to gamble for awhile and returned to our room for the night, at about 1:00 am, when we... more

Tropicana is in a good location and is good if your on a budget. Its connected to the MGM Grand and Excalibur. The hotel inside is a little outdated. The Casino is a pretty good size, but there is not much going on as far as bars, and there are no clubs. The rooms need renovation in my opinion, and... more

This is a pretty good hotel if you want a great location for a small price; the hotel itself is visibly old and not as well taken care of as it could be. When I first arrived I was even a little grossed out by the carpets, as well as the windows, that look like they haven't been washed in... more

Couldn't believe it....rooms were gross, dirty, bedding stained, walls dirty, bathroom with broken tiles, missing grout, just awful to say the least. Poor service if any at all. Couldn't get a drink to save your life. Drab atmosphere. Pool wasn't open. Buffet was terrible. Spa was closed. Fitness area was closed. It was almost like the place was closing there... more

We stayed in this hotel for a taekwondo competition and it was terrible. They gave us a room in the old section of the resort in a "non-smoking" room and as soon as we walked in the room we could smell the years of smoke accumilated. The carpet was discustingly stained and dirty. The bathroom was black with mold ALL... more

I was in Vegas for a little while, and wanted to try a lower priced hotel to ease my pocketbook, than staying at a fancier hotel/casino again. The first problem occurred, when I got to the hotel and the price for the room was like $9 more than what the lady on the phone told me it'd be, because of... more

When we first got there we were extremely disappointed because for the same price we could have stayed in a much nicer hotel, and that was after we were supposedly "upgraded". The rooms we had (we had rented a total of 3 rooms because there were 3 couples going) were almost roach motel material: extremely ugly, dirty tubs, and a/c... more
