We stayed at the Sahara in March as part of a package holiay and LA, grand Canyon and Las Veags. This hotel was at the top of the strip and it took about 20-30 mins to walk right into the middle of the strip. However I would use the metro and buy a long ticket as you really get your... more

My sister and I went to Vegas for a quick 3 day trip. We didn't want to spend alot on a hotel but wanted a clean, safe place to stay. The Sahara was perfect for us. We arrived 2 hours before check-in but the friendly staff accomadated us and we were shown to our room immediately. The room did show... more

I was disappointed with the check-in (more than an hour), the room and the buffet. The hotel is a good deal but it is dated. I believe that it dates back to 1952 unfortunately, the property has not been maintained. The pool and the cafe called "The Grind" were the shining stars of the hotel. Also, the rollercaster did look... more

Put it in perspective - it is old, worn and could use a touch of updating. But, it's also a great way to do a vacation on a budget when you don't want to spend $150 or $200 a night. It was clean, the staff was friendly for the most part and at less than $30 a night, it's hard... more

I stayed at the Sahara for 3 nights on a full comp and had a balcony suite, 786 sq. feet. I waited for several hours to get into my suite, and spent the last 20 minutes in the filthy hallway waiting for the cleaning lady to finish my room. I first stepped into my "Just Cleaned" Suite at about 3:25... more

Was checked in to stay in a "deluxe" room for memorial weekend, but left after 2 hrs. I'm really not a very picky person, but I was completely disgusted by almost everything in this hotel. If your going on vacation where you'd rather not spend your time worrying about the sanitary conditions of your room or your food then the... more

The place is old and run down. Carpets are filthy and ripped, furniture is literally from the 50's & scratched to [----]. Staff is unfriendly & food at all the restaurants is unedible. Got crowded on the weekend with lots of college kids and internaltional travelers looking for a cheap place to stay. Don't stay here even on a comp. more

I have stayed at the Sahara for several years, and while it used to be OK and good value, I think it is time to look for another hotel. The carpets in the hotel everywhere are disgustingly dirty, and in definite need of replacement. Their are foul odors everywhere in the hotel, and no doubt the carpets are a big... more

Thermestat out of date, had low med hi setting. No wifi and charge to use in room dsl line. No room service. The restaurants food was real bad,... more
