I had read the reviews of others before we arrived and was very worried . We were going to a conference and this was the only hotel available for us. Imagine our surprise when we walked into our beautiful suite with a microwave and fridge. The beds were comfortable and we had a very pleasant stay Thanks to all your... more

My husband, his best friend and I stayed at the Grand Sierra in the Summit from April 10 - 12, 2009. It was both of their birthdays so we went away to Reno just to have some fun. When we got there the hotel clerk was awesome! He helped us get a deal on both rooms. The deal was: you... more

I recently got a great rate on Hotwire and stayed at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno while visiting the Reno/Tahoe area to go skiing at Mt. Rose on the last weekend of the 2008-09 season. The positive aspect was that they gave me a room which was large, clean, and with furniture, walls, and fixtures in good condition. The... more

When I left the hotel I accidentally left my new MEK Jeans in the room worth $155.00. I figured I would call and lost and found and they would find them, and safely return them to me. When I called, they said, I would have to wait until someone turned them in. When I called again, lost and found said,... more

I loved this hotel, i went there with my boyfriend for my 21st birthday and i had an awesome time. The hotel has a LOT of amenities(restaurants, gambling, arcade, a movie theater, bowling alley, pool. shopping, mini golf, go cart racing, etc..) The rooms are big, we stayed on the 9th floor non -smoking with a queen bed. The casino... more

Worst customer service of any hotel ever. Premium wine bar was only good part of the stay. Summit rooms are bleakly dark and cheaper lower floor rooms have low quality amenities. Even though they seem to be the same hotel - the staff from one part of the hotel will NOT help you out with a problelm with the other... more

I was at the Grand Sierra from 3/29-4/1 for a conference. I thought the hotel was pretty decent. My room was great - queen size bed, sofa, chair, coffee table, desk, fridge, table with 4 chairs. Very roomy! The staff was nice and helpful. The restaurants had very good food. My favorite thing about the hotel is the Reserve wine... more

I stayed at the GSR for five nights for an educator's conference. The convention facilities were excellent. Restaurants in the resort were good and the prices were comparable with other locations. Having a Johnny Rocket's in the resort was a BIG plus! I was disappointed not to be able to get show tickets. Use the toll free number to order... more

I was there for a conference - I am so dissapointed that the organization choose this hotel. The rooms were outdated and tacky - sofas/chairs with cowboy prints - the room looked like it belonged to a six-year old. Hotel was filled (except for convention-goers) with lower-class folks that made you feel uncomfortable to be there. The resort itself is... more

This was a beautiful hotel, although we did not have a coffee pot or microwave in our room. Rooms were nice, no extra blankets or pillows. Too far from downtown if you do not have a car. Would have stayed elsewhere because of this. Good places to eat in the hotel. Very thin walls. more
