This grand hotel, opened in 1908, has been beautifully restored to a state of grandeur that surprises and delights visitors to Tonopah in 2013 much as it must have in 1913. What a truly wonderful place to be able to stay in! We elected to stay in one of the smaller queen rooms as we arrived late and really just... More

The hotel was a beautiful place for our Tonopah High School 30 Year Class Reunion. Dinner in the Jack Dempsey Room was great. There were 44 of us with room for at least 8 more. The service was awesome. We all visited for hours throughout the weekend in the lobby and bar area. We will stay at the hotel again... More

This 1900's period hotel is a surprising find! Originally built to be a showcase hotel during the silver and gold rush era, it has been lovingly refurbished to the highest standard. It is an affordable place to stay while exploring the mining history in the area. Within the lobby, you will find beautiful period furniture, a large bar, a good... More

This hotel has been restored and they did a great job. Rooms a little small but have old fixtures and tubs. The lobby is a great meeting place where you can sit and have drinks and admire the old gold rush days decor. If you go there you might want to check out the Otteson's turquoise mine and dig for... This hotel was one of our stops on the way back from South Lake Tahoe, CA. We tried to stay there our our way up to Reno but there was no vacancy so stayed at Jim Butler Motel (right next door). An old mining town with charm and history. We loved the hotel, food was excellent and finished the night... More

The hotel has been completely restored and takes you back in time to its 1907 origins as the finest hotel at the time. Great to find such quality in such a remote area! The staff is terrific and the location great for exploring the area. They accommodated our group of 40 people and gave us all great service. A good... More

If you are traveling Hwy 95 in Nevada, be sure to stay at the historic Mizpah Hotel in Tonopah if you can. It has been reburbished and reopened since 2011 by the Cline Family from California. They have done a great job restoring the historic hotel. The food in the Pittman Room Café is excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner... More

What a fab hotel! We stayed here whilst driving between the Grand Canyon and San Francisco and it's a great stopover. Tonopah is an old mining town and to us Brits it felt like something out of the old westerns. The hotel has been restored and it feels so grand and old-fashioned (in a good way). I especially loved the... More

We were directed here because a motel near the highway was full, and we are so grateful! The building and its history are fascinating; the room was great, with a decor matching the hotel's era. The restaurant was good, and the lounging areas very inviting. We were sorry to be there only one night.

After driving all day in a terrible wind storm, we decided to stop in Tonapah; not our original destination. As we walked into the lobby of the Mizpah, we were sure that it would be out of our price range. It was clean and beautiful, but had just enough original character to make it feel like an old hotel. We... More
