My husband, his mother and I had a Saturday night dinner at the Inn last weekend. We live in CT but travel to New Hampshire whenver we can get away. We always drive by the Inn because it is pretty and sometimes use the porch for a cocktail during the summer but this time it was dinner and were we... more

The Inn is charming...very old New England with lovely antique decor. Unfortunately, if you're looking for full service lodging with all the comforts of home, that's about as good as it gets. There is no visible staff available, but you can go downstairs to the front desk and use the phone there to call someone if you need something (which... more

Kitsch instead of comfort is the leitmotif of the Inn. One wishes that there was a tenth as much attention paid to guests as to the placement of china bunnies. I don't recall ever being in a place where we saw the front desk staff only once - when we paid, up front - and found the front door locked... more

After reading all the reviews on TripAdvisor; I was concerned about our future visit. The reviews were either negative or positive; no in-between. But, I'm happy to say, our stay at the Inn was perfect even though it was only for one night. Jack the bartender serves an EXCELLENT drink and the Tavern food was sooooo good. We sat at... more

My husband and I had to come to New Hampshire to look at schools for our son. What a wonderful gem we found with the Inn. The Inn is beautiful with old world charm. Much like many places in Europe. Everyone treats you like family, and the restaurant was wonderful. We ate there all 4 nights of our stay. Our... more

My family has been going to the Inn for Christmas for at least 10 years. It is the highlight of our year. We use to go to the Hotel Del Coronado for the holidays but when we found the Inn we never went back. No other establishment pays attention to details like this establishment beginning with the extensive holiday decorations,... more

Just came from dinner is was wonderful. The owners treat you like family. The onions rings are to die for. The Christmas lights are like stepping back in time, it is hard to take it all in bring your picture taking equipment. This is a life time chance you will never forget. The service is wonderful and the deserts are... more

I have visited this wonderful step back to another era on numerous occasions. My favorite time to visit is around the Christmas holiday. This wonderful building comes to life with lights and holiday decorations. I feel like a child wandering from room to room in awe of the many delights that greet me. The innkeepers, Larry and Phelps are delightfully... more

To call our visit to the Inn at Newfound Lake a disappointment would be a gross understatement. The fun began when we arrived in a driving rainstorm (not the inn's fault) and found that the only parking available was in a slick, grassy field. Thank God for 4WD.. After getting drenched walking to the Inn, we approached the front desk... more

First of all, we had to park in a field next to the Inn because there was no parking. We had to trudge in through the pouring rain. We got inside and there wasn't anyone at the front desk. We waited a good 10-15 minutes before a guest waiting to be seated for dinner had to go and hunt down... more
