My hubby & I were going on a "wing it" trip. We started upstate N.Y. Vt. then N.H. then we probly would have gone on to Maine. Well. We found the Inn quite by accident. We were looking for lodging on our GPS. Looking for someplace quick as it was getting dark & we were in N.H. Well we never... more

we stopped just by chance at this inn and found out that this was the best we could do. This is a family run inn with good accomodation and a superb German cuisine. Coming from Germany we were initially a bit sceptical about German food being served in the middle of New Hampshire, but it turned out to be a... more

My husband and I stayed at the Inn in October. We had gone to see the Fall colors and had a fabulous time. Inn and Dining: The Inn itself is charming and has an old world feel to it. Bob and Alex are extremely friendly and made us feel completely at home. Alex was most helpful in planning our leaf-peaping... more

4 of us stayed at the Inn when we came to see the Fall colors. We stayed in room 6. The inn is very charming and Alex and Bob are very friendly and helpful. The dinner was very nice and the ambiance was great. This is really like staying at your favorite uncle and aunt's house. Breakfast was amazing too.... more

We came for the Octoberfest Wine Dinner and stayed one night. The food was incredible, the staff friendly and helpful and the owners: very accomodating! We invited another couple to go to the dinner with us and the four of us could not have been more pleased. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the atmosphere very homey and comfortable. I'd... more

We had another wonderful visit with the Graf family this past winter even though there was very little snow! My husband and I took my parents up for Christmas Dec 26-27 (we stayed on thru the 28th). The restaraunt was open this visit which was fabulous. Bob is an amazing cook which we already knew from his breakfast. We ate... more

We stayed at the Inn on two different weekends. It went from bad to horrible. We were stuck because of their policy on canceling reservations. The inkeeper acted like she was doing us a favor to let us stay here. Not very warm or friendly, over priced food for what you get, pool was not open because heater was broken... more

The family who we gave the extra night too was complaining at 9 pm about noise from our award winning restaurant. We do have a more serious cancelation policy but we had extened her to have another day. The reason she had the room above the restaurant was due to last minute booking. Unfortunately for her we had a lot...

This was our third time at the Inn. We loved it from the first moment we arrived three years ago. This time we brought along family members who immediately fell in love with the place as we did. It feels like you are visiting old family friends with the advantage of having your own personal space. Each room is very... more

The guest rooms are located right above the bar. If you don't plan on going to bed until midnight or so then this is not a problem. The pool is very cold. We waited an hour and a half for dinner (literally.. 5:30 reservation, didn't get our meal until 7:00). more

New Years Eve 2005. Did you go to bed before midnight? What restaurant in town is not bussy, oeps, there are no other restaurants in Danbury NH. We are the ONLY restaurant here.I checked my lodging list and nobody from CT was a quest here at that time.

I stayed at the Inn for a week on business with 4 other coworkers. We LOVED the hospitality shown to us during our stay. I stayed in room 2 which I thought was the cutest room with the most fabulous bed. Room 10 also has a really nice bed if you are picky. I never felt unsafe at the Inn,... more
