We were on a road trip to New England to visit friends and family. We stayed at the Shaker Hill B&B last week. It was a wonderful find and one that we will go back to on our next trip. The hosts were extremely accommodating, the facility was delightful and the food was great. It was a much better deal... More

We were looking for a place to stay near Kimball Union Academy for their 200th Anniversary Celebration. We were delighted to have found Shaker Hill B&B. Nancy and Allen were extremely gracious, the room was immaculate, the food was delicious and plentiful, the setting is bucolic, and the antiques plentiful and tastefully presented. As an added bonus, Nancy sent us... More

Very disappointed, I had called because the website showed a Saturday night availability so the man that answered said he had the Herb Room available, I wanted to double check with my husband and when I called back to book he said he made a mistake and no rooms were available but when I went on priceline/expedia it showed I... Thank you for taking the time to report on your experience. I am just sorry for the confusion. We had only recently changed our policy to require a 2-night stay on the weekends. When the lady called and made an initial inquiry my husband had simply forgotten; we have taken one night reservations for 15 years until recent circumstances forced... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Shaker Hill B&B with Nancy and Allen many times over the past decade when we go to see my parents who are retired near Hanover, NH. The old farm house is real, the antiques are real, the plumbing works well, the atmosphere is warm and relaxing, the location is convenient, and the... More

Can't say enough about this place!! Hosts Al & Nancy are charming, gracious, & extraordinarily eager to offer suggestions, provide directions, etc. Breakfasts were scrumptious, and not only tasty but beautifully presented as well. Our room was lovely and very comfortable, and the inn as a whole has a warm & homey feel. As for family dogs Ben & Bo... More

We wanted to stay near Woodstock, Vermont and found this B&B on TripAdvisor. All the reviews do not do justice to the warm, home like feeling you get when visiting with Al and Nancy! The breakfast is well worth staying here. They are both very well informed on what to see and do in this area. We would definitely stay... More

Nancy and Allen have thought of everything to make guests feel pampered. We stayed for two nights, and we were talking about the breakfasts all the way home! The French toast was the best that we have ever tasted. Today we were thrilled with shirred eggs after enjoying fresh scones and fruit with yogurt! Our intelligent hosts and the charming... More

We stayed here for a friend's wedding in Canaan. Nancy and Al were very welcoming and wrote out directions for where we needed to go and told us when coffee and breakfast would be served, where to park at night, and gave us our key. We only stayed one night so we didn't see them again until the next morning,... More

Spent 3 nights here while attending the NH Crafts Guild show nearby. Comfortable, friendly and an overall restful place to stay. Breakfasts were delicious (loved the French toast) and hospitality was superb. Easy socialization with other guests, really pleasant atmosphere. Lovely gardens. On the one day when it rained so hard we didn't want to even go out, we sat... More

Just spent nearly a week at this lovely old New England farm house. Hosts Nancy and Allen made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. They clearly have the gift of hospitality - from the tasteful and comfortable rooms to the splendid gardens to the lavish breakfasts, everything was just what I hoped for. I recommend it highly.
