Everything was perfect for our two day mini-vacation at the Inn in January, 2012. I'd return for the chicken pie and another massage by Jodie alone! Both were perfect. My husband had hurt his back lifting a 150 lb. motor two weeks earlier, and Jodie gave him a wonderful massage, concentrating on his lower back. Within two days his back... More

The Inn is beautiful, the views spectacular and the dining fantastic. We had trouble with our climate control in our room and woke to an 80 deg temperature and the thermostat was set to 63. Nothing an open window couldn't cure. The wait staff in the dining room were all excellent and the dinners were very good. The breakfast menu... More

Thank you for your comments about your visit to the Inn at Thorn Hill & Spa. It's unfortunate that your room was not as comfortable as you expected and I wish we had known about the unpleasant smell you had experienced as we could have remedied that for you. We appreciate your comment on our breakfast menu and will look... More

The Inn was rebuilt in 2003 after a fire destroyed the original structure. The Coopers had foresight and vision. They built a stunning inn, based it on the old Stanford White blueprints, and added space and luxury. The rooms are beautiful. Whirlpool tubs in the main building, beautiful bathrooms, gas fireplaces. Some rooms have Mt. Washington views. The wine cellar... More

Thank you and we appreciate you taking your time to spread the word about the Inn at Thorn Hill. Your comments pave the way for new guests seeking the beautiful restful respite here in the White Mts. in Jackson. I came to Thorn Hill Inn, sick, and left well. We were hoping for snow and selected Jackson for their National Trust of cross country skiing - but it was as dry as a bone. So we settled in with all the books we brought up, and tucked into our deliciously toasty room with a full frontal onto the Presidential... More

Thanks you two for your remarks on your visit to the inn this past January. We are so pleased when the mother nature doesn't cooperate and still our guests are able to get the relaxation, service and fine food that rekindles the body and spirit. WE hope to see again when you can get out and really enjoy all the... More

Our second trip to the post-fire, rebuilt Inn at Thorn Hill was intended to be a much deserved and needed opportunity to rest, relax and recharge, and all three were accomplished. Since the fire forced a complete rebuilding of the Inn, many safety features were considered like sprinklers both inside and on the veranda as well as ample fire extinguishers,... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your visit to the Inn at Thorn Hill. We apologize for the inconvenience of not having an operating phone in the room. We are experiencing mechanical obsolescence with systems that we opened with in 1993 and it is taking longer to get parts etc. and find new and better ways... More

My girlfriend and I stayed their for my 41st birthday on November 20th and were very disappointed. We thought we were getting a cozy, sophisticated and first class night and maybe a little bit of FUN but what we got was a completely drab, dark and miserable stay because of the place. If you are planning to go to this... More

First of all, let me begin by apologizing that your visit to the inn for your boyfriend's birthday didn't meet your expectations. Visiting during the shoulder seasons here in the White Mountains can be a very quiet time, cherished by some and inadequate for others. The atmosphere at the inn is subdued but with darkness coming so early in the... More

Reviews I stayed at The Inn at Thorn Hill for my boyfriends birthday in November 2011. The Inn was empty and eery. upon our arrival as we were shown around the Inn the interior of the Inn was dark and dreary. There was no one around. The woman who showed us to our room did not bother to show us... More

We stayed at the Inn at Thorn Hill for two nights while attending a wedding off-property. The Inn richly deserves the ratings and accolades it receives. The rooms and common areas were spotless, the staff engaged and attentive, and the overall experience relaxing and enjoyable. It probably didn't hurt for the weather to be crisp and sunny for our stay... More

A delightful destination and a chance to reminisce and remember all that trips taken when the kids were young. Accommodations were a delight, with a fireplace and Jacuzzi in the room with a northward view of Mt. Washington and its neighbors. We were delighted in the interplay between clouds and sun. Breakfasts and dinners were a treat, capably served by... More

We recently stayed at Thorn Hill Inn. Our weekend was enjoyable overall. We changed rooms mid-stay. Our first night was in the Carriage House and the second was in the main lodge. We enjoyed our room in the main lodge MUCH better. Our main lodge room had a fireplace in the bedroom and a large jacuzzi tub for two. We... More
