We stayed at Eagle Mountain House for a few days between Christmas and New Years. Hotel staff was very nice, and the lodge had a lively feel with many families staying there. It was our first stay at the property, and we had a one-room suite: queen bed and pullout sofa. Unfortunately, our particular room (302) , had a problem... more

We just returned from a 2-day stay at Eagle Mountain House. It's a great location for skiers, with the groomed Jackson x-country course starting across the street and lots of downhill nearby. The atmosphere was pleasant and good for families with kids. Nice game & exercise rooms, though the jacuzzi was not working (nor did it seem like they were... more

We planned a last minute hiking trip/weekend getaway to the White Mountains and chose to stay at the Eagle Mountain. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff, who let us view two rooms before booking. We looked at both a suite and a regular room. The suite was larger with a sleeper sofa and only slightly... more

We have stayed here twice now, the first time in 1998, with 3 children. They thoroughly enjoyed it then, as we did. This time sans children (all grown and moved away); and it was lovely again. Service is absolutely impeccable. The EMH is very historic, and this is displayed thruout the inn. The long front porch with all the white... more

My wife and I literally stumbled upon Eagle Mountain House while on a Sunday drive a couple of weekends ago. It is truly worth the trip. We decided on a whim to stay a couple nights (we both had a week off) and wow, was it worth it. It's romantic, low key, friendly, with the BEST FOOD (breakfast, lunch, drinks,... more

We really enjoyed this hotel. There is something about staying in a hotel that has been visited for generations that makes travel quaint. We stayed with our 2 children in a 2 room suite with a mountain view. I recommend spending a little extra for these. While the inn is not "luxurious" by today's standards, it was back in the... more

A great hotel in a wonderful location if you like the rural backdrop of the white mountains. Lovely rustic touches, staff were very friendly. We stayed as part of a two week fly drive holiday with virgin and this was one of the most charming hotels on the entire trip. You will need to drive though, as the hotel isn't... more

We adored staying at the Eagle Mountain House with its sense of slightly faded grandeur; fabulous location; lovely old fashioned bathrooms and wonderful breakfast buffet.. The staff were all friendly and I would love to return one day. We were on a two week tour of New England and this was definitely the best hotel we stayed in. more

Though the hotel is well situated for visiting the White Mountains, I would definitely discourage anyone going here. Our room was built litterally around the elevator, next to the stairs, and the view (from the back) was on rotten wood side panels and damaged roofing. Worst of all was that the only reaction at the reception desk to our complaints... more
