Awful staff, especially the little prissy front desk girl named whitney, she was rude, inconsiderate, and just downright stuck up, how she still has a job is perplexing to say the least! our room smelled, the pool was empty, and it was the end of june...beutiful weather but no pool, gee thats worth the price. and all, yes all vending... more

My daughter and I stayed over Columbus Day weekend. It was the first time. We thought that it was very good. And that we would stay there again. We enjoyed the indoor pool and the whirlpool. We found that it was very clean and comfortable. The Staff was very considerate. more

After the first night it was clear to our Parent's the Mattress's were old, damaged, unkept and extremely uncomfortable resulting in no sleep. The unfortunate situation that occurred here was a small un-addressed note was left among the guest’s personal items. Our staff are trained not to touch the guest’s personal belongings and as a result the note went unnoticed. Had these folks given a call to the front desk or placed the note on the pillow or bed, we would have seen...

Just returned home after staying three nights at the Margate. We had a room with a lakeview and a king size bed. We enjoyed the view, the beach and the peace and quiet. However, as other reviews have stated, the place DOES need an overhaul. It's decor is outdated, but more importantly, the bed is not comfortable and the pillows... more

We’re sorry you weren’t satisfied with the bedding in your room. We have replaced many of the mattresses and have a surplus of big fluffy pillows. We would recommend that you notify the Front Desk and they would have housekeeping replace the pillows or we would have been happy to move you to another room that might have been more...

My husband and our 2 grand daughters visited New Hampshire and stayed at The Margate, We fully enjoyed our room, clean and comfortable. They enjoyed the in-door pool very much, the staff was great. Yes I plan to return again and again. more

Excellent place to stay! It is very clean with many amenities. Fun for all ages - pool, beach, gym, bar with entertainment, and the continental breakfast is perfect for the family. I would definately recommend this resort. I come back year after year with my family and they love it! more

We stayed at the Margate for 3 nights last week. We had a Courtyard room, which we found to be very nice. The room was clean and had a newly tiled bathroom and what appeared to be a new shower/bathtub. We could walk right outside to the quiet beach and beautiful views. Thank you for your great comments. There really is no better spot where you are just steps to the most awesome beach and scenery around. We do have an ongoing mattress replacement program and the “firm” style is what most of our guests prefer. Perhaps we should consider buying some softer styles for those who prefer this type of mattress.

We just came back after a week at the Margate. We have been going there for over 20 years and they have never dissappointed us. The staff could not be friendlier and the place is spotless.
