The Highlander Inn may be cute and convenient to the airport; it may have a beautiful gazebo and nice ballroom... But none of this matters when a hotel doesn't know how to provide even decent customer service. We recently had our Wedding and Reception at the Highlander Inn and despite all the planning we had done with our original contact,... more

Spent a romantic evening in a "Jacuzzi suite" at the Highlander -- very nice! Large room, comfortable couch, tub, and bed. I would return in a second. The room was clean and easy to get to and from. more

Spent 4 nights at this wonderful hotel...absolutely right outside the airport but heard no plane noise whatsoever. Because of the extended stay chose a "suite" with a whirlpool. Absolutely gorgeous and comfortable...all the amenities necessary and tons of room. Did not feel like a hotel at all! If you stay try the "light" menu at the bar...the Buffalo Chicken was... more

We arrived at the airport at midnight and retrieved our luggage then called for the hotel van. He arrived promptly. Check in was quick and easy. Room was very large and beds were comfortable. They also had wireless internet that my daughter loved. Very warm and cozy room. Almost wanted to stay on the return visit from our trip, but... more

The hotel is adequate. It was the best price of all the area hotels and very convenient. We stayed in the Coldwell House (which is separate from the main hotel). Our room was SMALL! very clean but SMALL. We had a double bed (not a queen) and it was jammed to the wall...did I mention that the room was SMALL.... more

Hard to believe that this hotel & B&B is located just 1/2 mile from the airport! It has a serene setting, clean rooms, and a very helpful staff. I arrived much earlier than anticipated, and just wanted to check into the area, the staff at the desk surprised me by getting me settled into my room far earlier than anticipated.... more

We didn't get the room we had booked and the front desk staff was very unhelpful. In the end they downgraded us to a poor standard room instead of the deluxe room we had booked, with the promise that they would sort out the rate difference, and let us know. We never heard back from the staff, and were left... more

The Highlander was a good, inexpensive option for anyone flying out of Manchester. It's 2 minutes (or less) from the rental car return, the rooms are large and relatively new, and the staff is friendly. It's a basic hotel, but serves its purpose extremely well. more

I'd hoped to wind down my vacation with a little opulance before my flight home. Wrong! My room was in a building 150 yards behind the registration desk. They said I could wait for the shuttle to take me there. I hauled my 2 bags over by myself. Then I found that I was booked for an upstairs room, with... more

I just spent two nights here, one at either end of a trip to San Francisco, and generally stay here whenever I fly out of Manchester. I have had a good experience every time I have stayed here. The pluses: Free shuttle to airport that runs 24 hours and is very efficient -- you are literally five minutes or less... more
