Although the staff was extremely friendly this was our least favorite hotel of the 5 day trip. We were given a suite for the $99 rate but it seemed like no one had stayed there for quite a few months. The building had some rot and the room was not super clean, just okay. Luckily the weather was not too... more

Recently stayed at this romantic getaway and loved it! Large jacuizzi suite, clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable and the gas stove was nice to cozy up to! My only complaint would be the breakfast, very disappointing.....small bagels, peanut butter, cream cheese, and croissants.....some fresh fruit and one choice of cereal. Coffee was a pleasant surprise . Would return... more

My husband and I were looking for a romantic get-away to celebrate our anniversary, and found the Wren's Nest through a search engine. They have everything from your typical motel-type rooms to jacuzzi suites. We stayed in the Isles of Shoals room, which was nicely decorated in a nautical theme with a comfortable king-sized bed, hardwood floors, sitting area and... more

This place is old and leaves much to be desired. Stayed in Hemmingway Suite - everything was old. The bed was hard as a rock and made noises when you moved; sheets were yellow instead of white and looked like they had not been washed (wrinkled from last guest?), as did the bedspread and blanket; floors were dusty. There is... more

My husband and I stayed at the Wren's Nest for my 30th birthday. We expected a quaint seacoast B&B, but we questioned our decision as soon as we drove up. The multi-structured inn was old and looked like a worn out cheap motel. We thought we had made a wrong turn. The staff was friendly, but the room left much... more

My first impression was negative. I think it was pricey for what you got. The room was just ok. The only saving grace was the hot tub. That was relaxing. The breakfast was lacking. There was day old coffee cake, 2 kinds of cereal, bagels. That was it. For the price you pay you should at least get an assortment... more

The descriptions of this inn far exceed the reality of the experience. The owners probably don't intend to do false advertising, but seem to think that luring people with greater than reality descriptions is good marketing. (Did they skip the hotel management class 101 which says that a hotel must ALWAYS exceed expectations? That's the name of the game.) Our... more

This was truly a wonderful experience. Not because the weather was glorious, not because we were on our Honeymoon, but simply the oustanding accomodations and excellent customer service. The (Tropical) suite was everything the web site listed and showed. The room service was efficient and thorough and the neighboring restaurant (Chestnuts) was really one of the best I have ever... more
