My husband and I stayed at The Governor's Inn for the first time. Everyone there was so pleasant. Our room was beautiful... home away from home kind of feeling. We happened to be there on a night that they had entertainment down in The Governor's Ballroom. Comedy Night... We had not laughed that much in a long time. This hidden... more

We stayed at the Inn recently and had a blast. The staff was great and very helpful. The Inn is undergoing some renovations but that didn't stop them from accommodating us as best they could. Our room was warm and comfortable. we attended an event in the ballroom and danced the night away. Thanks for a good time. more

My family and I recently stayed at The Governor's Inn and it was a great experience. The staff was extremely attentive and very friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The inn had a lot of charm and a "home away from home" feel that we prefer over a chain hotel any day. We will definitely be back. more

Toured The Governor's Inn as a possibility for our wedding reception. I don't like to give such a bad review, but felt it was necessary in this case. The walls of the Ballroom were dirty, paint is an almost pink/coral color, the carpeting is very stained with seams coming up, the dance floor looks to be only big enough for... more

I highly recommend the Governor's Inn, I stayed there multiple times. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The governor's suite is especially nice. The staff is friendly and accommodating. On my last trip I left behind my wireless modem. They found it and Fedex it to me right away. They also have a great Cafe in the carriage house... more

To be short, my stayment was terrible. There needs a lot to be done, it's not clean and the food was not the best I've ever had. Maybe if they put more time in the finishing touch and cleaning up, they will score better. more

HERE is the letter I wrote to the manager -- still haven't received a response.... My husband and I stayed at your inn on the night of December 15th, 2007. We had booked the stay back in August to celebrate our 1-year wedding anniversary that falls on December 15th. We arrived Saturday around 1pm and spoke to Paula who told... more

The Governor's Inn is the worst B&B/Historical Inn we have ever stayed in (out of ~70). There was a noisy wedding reception when we arrived, so instead of the King bed room in the main house for $98/night (which had been recently vacated) we selected a less desirable room with 2 twin beds in the adjacent Georgian Colonial building for... more

I travel frequently and typically stay in hotels which are owned or operated by the major chains. Prior to a recent trip to Rochester, NH I did an internet search to locate a hotel in the area. Not finding any of the familiar names, I decided on the Governor's Inn. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The... more

We stayed at the Governor's Inn in late March, 2007. There were some really nice things about the inn, and some not so nice things. First, the positives. The property and the building are very nice. It is cozy, spacious and warm. There is plenty of parking and the location is only a couple blocks from downtown. Our room was... more
