These are cozy cabins run by people who make you feel like family right away. I've been staying at the North Country for more than 20 years, and it always feels like I'm home when I arrive. The screened-in porches and fireplaces make the cabins ideal in northern NH summers, when you never know if it will be cold or hot. Easy access to hiking trails and the Robert Frost House & Museum make it an ideal location. Sometimes the road is a bit noisy these days, but the charm of the place makes you forget about that. Plus you can't beat the price! more

My wife, her mother and I just got back having spent the weekend of Aug. 25th & 26th, 2006 at North Country Cottages in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire. I just had to write this review. I hate it whenever I get deceived. I hope to warn any people that might be looking for reviews on North Country Cottages in Sugar Hill N.H.. Their web-site had been deceiving (at the time of this review, anyway). See (--) They advertised on their web-site (at time of this review) that there is a "fireplace in every livingroom", yet I could not find any fireplace in our livingroom area and we supposedly had their better cottage which had a kitchen! My second complaint concerns another dececption they wrote on their website. They advertised (at time of this review) that their cottages are set on "9 acres of land in the heart of the White Mountains". Let me tell you that is such bull.
