We have stayed at Spaulding Inn twice now and had a wonderful time, each time. Staff is very friendly, the food in the pub is reasonable and good as are the drinks. My husband and I enjoy playing pool and sitting out on the porch. Staff helped make my birthday extra special. Can't wait to go back in August.

My wife and I just spent out second night there within the last year. Both times we were met by very friendly staff. It's a very quiet, beautiful place. No T.V in the room but we prefer it that way. The pub down stairs is exactly what the doctor ordered. Great friendly service and food. We suggest the Nachos and... More

Pros: *The staff was friendly. *The grounds and surrounding areas are lovely. *A continental breakfast is provided (granted I couldn't have anything because of a wheat allergy) *There is a bar onsite Cons: *The mattress was awful. I spent 2 days and I didn't sleep more than 2 hours each night. I have never stayed at a hotel, motel, bed... More

I did not stay here but went on a "ghost hunter" tour. Apparently, the two men from the show Ghost Hunters own this Inn. We went early which the tour was at 1:00am. The reason for this was that the bar was having a band. The tour was in a different building though, the carriage house. So I go downstairs... More

As a whole, we deeply apologize that you did not enjoy your evening with us. Just to clear some things up, I would like to address a couple of the issues you have expressed. Every Friday and Saturday night we do the ghost hunting tours at 1am due to the entertainment we have. Friday's we have a DJ and Saturday's... More

On a recent weekend I visited the Spalding with my boyfriend for a quick get away. Upon arriving we found the place to be deserted. We waited around, walked down the empty hallways, even called out for anyone that may be working there. 20 mins later a girl appeared from the back and got us checked-in to a pretty unclean... More

Just came home today from a weekend at the INN. I would say it is a B&B wirh some extras, They are tryig to give you the feel of a B&B but there is a full service restaurant, bar and function hall. I had read some reviews so I was prepared, I found my room clean and quaint just as... More

This was a weekend trip to bring a family member who is a fan of TAPS to go ghost hunting. I had read the reviews and prepared for the trip by bringing books, games, cards, laptop so those of us in the party who rely heavily on TV for entertainment wouldn't get bored. These items were lifesavers. Yes - the... More

If you are looking for a fancy hotel with all the amenities of a Hilton, this is not a hotel for you. However, if you are looking for a real quiet backwoods location, consider the Spalding Inn as an option. For ghost hunters, hit or miss whether this place will work for you. My GF and I enjoyed our nights... More

The staff was pleasant and the continental breakfast was adequate. However, the rooms were very sparsely furnished. All night long, there were people walking the halls, opening and shutting doors and talking. They ghost hunting. Also people were walking around the outside of the inn with flashlights. The inn did not have any ambiance at all! We stayed there one... More

If you are ghost hunter there for thrill seeking or a simpleton in need if only basic amenities this inn is for you! Just past the maverick mountain view grand is a small inn, The Spalding Inn. The Inn, in my opinion is catering to ghost hunters as it is apparently owned by members of TAPS an has been featured... More
