I did not spend the night here but went to a beautiful catered event at night. We arrived fairly early and got first row parking! The enterance was clean and beautiful. The cocktail hour was amazing. Between the sushi, pasta & carving stations, hot/cold platters, 2 bar services and a cheese fondue station... couldn't have asked for anything more! The... more

This hotel used to be called the North Maple Inn, and has always been a favorite of mine when going to New Jersey for business travel. Recently, a new owner bought the hotel and the name has changed to Dolce. The prices have gone up quite a bit, but the rooms are still great, the pool and hot tub are... more

[This is the same feedback I provided to the hotel via their 'Contact Us' form on their website.] I am thoroughly unimpressed with my stay at the Dolce Basking Ridge -- and I've only been here 4 hours. Please allow me to share some of my observations: The fitness room had approximately the same stifling level of humidity as the... more

Spent Friday & Saturday night at the newly renovated Dolce Basking Ridge. Check in was quick & easy. We booked our room on the hotel web site and utilized AAA discount. The staff was friendly and upgraded us to a one bedroom suite, which was was newly decorated, beautiful and clean. The bathroom is huge. We arrived late for breakfast... more

This is primarily a business hotel although I'm sure that they can host family events pretty capably. Verizon is right across the street as well as some pharmaceutical companies, and all hold conferences there often. They appear to be replacing the somewhat dated furnishings but the rooms are in generally good shape. The bathrooms have marble counters and floors, and... more

We stayed at Dolce (2 nights) for a wedding, which was held off-site. No info about hotel was given at check in (location of pool, restaurants, bars, etc). No safe in room, so we kept our DND sign on our door so we wouldn't have to stash our iPod, Camera, Phones, etc. We had drinks ($10 + tip EACH!) They... more

North Maple Inn is now called Dolce Basking Ridge...and, in a word, it sucked. Waaaay overpriced for what it offers and where it is. This is a convention/business hotel, period. There is no reason to stay here if you're not here for business. There's NOTHING to do here. There's one overpriced restaurant. One overpriced bar. An indoor pool and, well,... more

Stayed at this inn for a weekend. The room was very comfortable and clean with new furnishings. The staff was very helpful and accomadating. The pool and hot tub does need renovations. The restaurant prices and bar were moderate. Overall for the price it was above adverage. more

Stayed here for business meetings several times, and also in May for a wedding there. I always find the food in Cuisine restaurant to be very good. The brkfst buffet is wonderful and the omelettes, etc. are great. Staff usually friendly and must like their jobs; I see the same faces every time I'm there (over 2-year timeframe). Rooms are... more

My wife and I went for a weekend getaway the first weekend of November and found the property to be just what we were looking for...comfortable, easy to get to, and with wonderful service and amenities. The rooms are not the Ritz Carlton, but for the $140.00 we paid they are very comfortable with large bathrooms and all the amenities... more
