We stayed a few days and loved it. This was my first visit to Cape May. The inn felt like the charming Victorian home of a favorite Dickens character- with up to date but unobtrusive technology. The breakfasts were substantial and delicious, and the Millers were ready to accommodate requests. The decor combines a density of witty detail with scrupulous... more

I have been vacationing in Cape May, New Jersey for over fifty years and, by far, my favorite place to stay is the Windward House on Jackson Street. Centrally located in historic Cape May, the Windward House is within walkng distance of quaint shops, gourmet restaurants and the beach. Beautifully decorated in period antiques, the Windward House was a home... more

I have loved all things Victorian for many years mostly because of very happy childhood memories of Cape May. It was a treat for me to return to Cape May after years away and to stay at the Windward House. The house is beautiful: it is carefully and authentically furnished. Sandy's taste for antique clothing adds a particular flare to... more

Our family has been coming to Cape May for over 40 years. We have stayed in many different Inns and hotels and we always come back to the Windward House and have been been for over 12 years - such a wonderfully comfortable Inn. We love the incredible Victorian decor, the comfortable bedrooms, the oh so comfy front porch that... more

We absolutely love staying at the Windward House in Cape May, New Jersey! It is our favorite place to stay while on our annual "seaside holiday." For several years, my husband and I have been going to Cape May in late June for our wedding anniversary, trying out various B&B's. We've never had a bad experience any place we've stayed,... more

Let me start by saying I have always wanted to stay here. My husband and I are Cape May regulars and we always admired this home on Jackson Street. That being said the Millers were no where to be found, that was the joke of the Inn this weekend. However the joke was on us ; at a rate of... more

This property is very clean and well run. The staff, all long-term folks, are committed to making guests feel at home. They also know in detail about most of the things people would like to do. Their Jackson Street location is centrally located for beaching it, shopping, or just exploring this unique and charming town. more

We stayed at the Windward House for our anniversary. We were recommended to stay there for a "romantic weekend". It was no such thing! The breakfasts were absolutely terrible- not at all creative, tasteless, boring and if I see another "souffle" again it will be too soon!! The owner of the Inn, Sandy Miller, is extremely rude and uncooperative. She... more

I am still reeling from this review of my inn but mostly from the personal and insulting attack on me, Sandy Miller. I honestly don't know how to respond to this, but I feel I must. Some of my long time staff and guests were stunned, saying that the last words they would use to describe me are "cold" and...

I stayed in the Summer Suite with my wife, on the first floor behind the dining room. While we could hear noise at times, it was the same as we'd have heard in any other room. Truth be told, it was a beautiful room and we had some great privacy in the back of the house. The interior of the... more

My husband, daughter, and I just returned from 5 nights at the Windward and had a marvelous time! The home itself is beautifully decorated, even nicer than the pictures on the internet. All of the people working at the inn are so nice. They couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Wicker Room, a two room... more
