We stayed at the May Caper on Saturday, August 12, in a room with a double bed, two twin beds, a balcony overlooking the ocean, and a shared bathroom. We came upon this the same day, as we were scouring Cape May for a one-night vacancy on a perfect summer Saturday. The Cape May Lodging Association and Cape May County Chamber of Commerce were both reporting that the town was sold out, so we felt lucky to find a place to sleep for the night. The fact that the May Caper was located right on Beach Avenue and that we got a room (with an oceanfront balcony) for just $120 on such a Saturday were highly unexpected bonuses. The May Caper's backyard parking spots are a huge advantage (although it is quite buggy, of course, particularly at night). Our hosts were all very pleasant throughout our brief stay.
