Stayed one nite on very cold February weekend. Hotel and staff was very nice, beds very comfy, clean, and well taken care of by it's staff. The room was a bit chilly, like I said it was a very cold weekend and those old (Original) windows are no match for 25+ wind gusts. We wound up putting towels, and sweatshirts... More

Just back from four nights at the Congress Hall in Cape May, celebrating my wife's 60th. We got a special rate for a king bed room overlooking the beach. The view of the ocean and the lawn where John Philip Sousa conducted the Marine Band were enchanting; the room was cheerful and very tastefully decorated, and the bathroom was bright... More

We were recently in Cape May and decided to check out Congress Hall. Wow! they have really done a wonderful job with this place. We have not seen it for many years and were impressed. We visited the bar in the Brown Room and enjoyed the crackling fireplace. We both had a light lunch bar side and enjoyed cocktails. It... More

I always wanted to stay in Congress Hall because it is old and elegant. Room rates are decent in the winter months. The staff was friendly, the room was lovely, even better if warm enought to sit out on the balcony. Wanted to hang out in the brown room but it was way too crowded. would like to return in... More

We received a night at congress hall as a gift. We had never been to Cape May. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is large, but cozy. We had a town view room and though you can tell it's old ( the room was a bit lopsided) everything was clean and nicely decorated. The bed and linens are so... More

Excellent in all respects except the restaurant The Blue Pig Tavern. Maybe it was the holiday and the inexperienced wait staff, but the food was not up to its usual standards. More

This is the second time I have stayed at Congress Hall. Got a good rate for a Jan. Friday night stay. Lucked out with the weather. It was cold but sunny. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the valet. I love the rooms with the balconies but on this trip was unable to book one. I did however... More

I have stayed at Congress Hall a few times; this last time in early January. I decided to go in January since there was no hint of snow and I got a fantastic rate on a one day sale promotion they were running. My room was somewhat small and the two chairs were not all that comfortable; however, the room... More

Went for a getaway after holidays for some R&R. Perfect place to stay. Quiet and comfortable rooms with a lot of history behind the walls. Room was spacious and had a small balcony overlooking the ocean. You could watch the sunrise from the bed. Definitely old, but spotless, the bathroom had an original bathtub. Located in the middle of town... More

After trying many B&Bs in Cape May and not being totally satisfied we took my sister's suggestion and tried Congress Hall. Since we visit Cape May often we wanted a place to return to and this hotel is it. Built in the early 1800's it has historic charm with modern renovations that still keep the feeling of a bygone era.... More
