The room was a real disappointment. Dirty bathtub and extremely slow draining sink and tub, not nice standing ankle deep in water while showering. Broken blinds on all four bedroom windows rendering them impossible to raise or lower. No box springs on bed, simply a matress sitting on plywood in the frame. Dead paperbugs on one windowsill. Burned out light... More

Stayed at the National Hotel for a girls night out. Very hospitable and welcoming. Spent some time at the local winery a 5 minute drive from the hotel. After winery parked car in back and walked into town to do some shopping. Quaint town very friendly people. Ate dinner at the hotel the food was delicious and the service was... More

I recently stayed at The National Hotel in Frenchtown for a one night Girls get away. We stayed in Room 203 which has two queen beds and is upstairs on the right if standing in front of the hotel looking up. Check in was very easy, the gentleman was extremely nice and promptly showed us to our room. Beds were... More

A wonderful throwback to centuries gone past, this off-the beaten path, charming Victorian-era B&B made for a welcome respite during a recent foray of New Jersey. The front porch and foyer provided a warm welcome, as did the gentleman behind the registration desk. Looking about while checking in, I was intrigued by the line of harps in what may have... More

Stayed at this hotel with a girlfriend for "girls' weekend." We had a fabulous time. The manager, Marlon, made sure we felt welcome from start to finish. Lovely room with very comfortable beds. Seemed recently redone. The bar downstairs was fun and crowded! Near all restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this place. We will be sending our husbands on a... More

We have stayed many times at this hotel. We keep going back because it is charming, and has many old-time features such as nice woodwork (including wide-board floors), a good bar and restaurant, and clean, appealing rooms with excellent sheets. The manager, Marlon, couldn't be nicer, and he is always accommodating. The hotel is in the center of the delightful... More

We just stayed here last night and had a wonderful stay. We stayed in one of the deluxe king rooms with jacuzzi. The bed was very comfortable and the room was plenty big for just the two of us for one night. The room was clean and fresh and so was the jacuzzi tub which was quite large. I would... More

I'll keep it short. Room: stayed in deluxe room with jacuzzi. Bed very comfortable and room roomy. Some paint was chipping when I stayed. Jaccuzi was roomy and clean had a wonderful time with my wife :) Restaurant: had dinner down stairs and 2 years later we still talk about the maple blue cheese stake. Bar: warm friendly no complaints,... More

I was excited about staying at this hotel the first time. It was old and historic and appealing to us. We were meeting old friends who also booked a room. We had a great time at the main bar. It's lovely to look at and the service was great. The apps we ordered were tasty and delicious. The dinner in... More

I first have to say that I am well-traveled but this is the first time I have taken a moment to write a hotel review. This December we were visiting friends who live in Frenchtown (adorable town; historic, artsy, fabulous food, great shops...) and I tried to book a romantic place for my husband and I. I requested a suite... More

Thank you for sending us your feedback and kind words about your experience in our cellar tavern, The Rathskeller Pub, as well as about what others have told you about the high-quality experience they've had at our upstairs Restaurant and Bar. I am, however, concerned about what you shared regarding the room that you occupied. We use only the highest... More
