We recently stayed a weekend at the Wingate in Kirkwood NJ. The hotel is relatively new and one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in! I'm particularly bothered by the 'hotel smell' I sense in most cheaper hotels. It's clean, but somehow not clean. This hotel had no weird hotel-smell and was spotless! Our room (on the first floor) had deliciously high ceilings (never realized what a difference that makes!) and a microwave, sink, fridge (a mini-kitchen.) We had a king-size bed with beautiful sheets and down comforter. And the hotel's style and design is actually attractive!

And, (this is one of my biggest complaints at most places!) the customer service was stellar! Extremely friendly staff and helpful, had a very fun conversation upon check-in which set our stay off on a great foot!
