I went to NYC last month and checked in to this hotel and found that my room opened to a balcony on the 1st floor just above the parking lot which makes it easily accessible to anyone. The room had window facing the balcony which could be opened from the outside...!!!...So pls make sure not to carry valuables. They didn't... more

Certainly Super 8 doesn't have the best location (it's in a noisy road), but price are best. Actually, I was surprised the hotel was quite fine. Room had ac, fridge, microwave and flat large TV. Great location with free parking. Probably 1/3rd the price of staying in Manhattan. For $2.50 the frequent shuttle that stops just outside the lobby door will take you to midtown (42nd/8th ave/ Port Authority ). Saturday morning the trip takes 20-25 minutes.
