Three miles outside of Princeton on the local road to Trenton, the Inn at Glencairn is a charming place to visit. A beautiful example of American history, lovingly restored and maintained. Bob Riggs is the perfect host (and cook) who makes the most wonderful breakfasts. If you plan to visit Princeton or Trenton this is a very very nice place... more

We spent two nights at this Inn, and enjoyed it very much. The Innkeeper was very friendly and hospitable. The breakfasts were good, but too many carbs for me. The other guests were friendly, we all talked at breakfast since it is one large table. I like that. The room was very nice, with windows that open, and a heater... more

My daughter, who lives in Princeton, recommended the Glencairn, and I'm still thanking her. We enjoyed the city and our jaunt to Manhattan, but the highlight of the trip was a toss-up between our quiet time sitting in the roomy lounge reading books, or Bob's wonderful breakfasts, elegant but not too heavy. Quiet and spotlessly clean, you can feel the... more

Quite by accident my husband and I discovered this quiet retreat nestled on a wooded lot outside of Princeton, N.J. while surfing the Internet. As we pulled into the driveway of this home away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we parked next to a rustic red barn and knocked on the back door for admittance. Our innkeeper,... more

I've gone to Princeton twice now on leisure visits. I stayed once at Glencairn and once at the Nassau Inn. From now on I will always go to Glencairn. The house itself and the surroundings provide a genuinely serene and tranquil atmosphere, and the staff was very pleasant and professional. The rates are very competitive with Nassau Inn, and frankly... more

I was traveling to Princeton for work and my boyfriend decided to join me. We found this lovely inn, on a tree-lined road, right near the heart of Princeton. Our stay was short but memorable. We had a spacious and beautiful room with a large four poster bed and a private bathroom. After venturing into town for dinner, we retreated... more

My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip (from NYC) to Six Flags. We wanted to make a vacation out of it so I looked into nearby b&bs near Six Flags and somehow managed to find the inn at glencarin. As soon as we pulled into the driveway, I knew we had found a winner. Nestled off a... more

I just returned from a stay at the IAG. This place is absolutely enchanting and relaxing. The inn has only five rooms and the staff is very accommodating. This 18th Century manor home and the grounds are immaculately kept and the innkeeper goes above and beyond with breakfast (by comparison to other B&Bs/Inns that I have visited)- which is served... more

I recently stayed at the Inn at Glencairn with my mother and husband for a week (we were over from London for a family occasion). We were impressed with the positive reviews we'd seen on Trip Advisor. We were certainly not disappointed with the house, which is beautiful, and with our rooms, and the inn is very convenient for Princeton.... more

Thank you for your review of the Inn at Glencairn. We are happy that you were pleased with the Inn and your rooms and disappointed that you were unhappy about a few items. To address your comments: We do offer large breakfasts that can be quite rich and filling. Along with a hot entrée, we offer fruit, a yogurt smoothie...

My son and I stayed at the Inn while on a college visit . It was an enchanting respite -- elegant, peaceful, friendly. The rooms were beautifully furnished, the food was delicious and the staff helpful. I highly recommend it. Now if he can only get into Princeton . . . more
