We had our daughter’s wedding here at the Oyster Point Hotel. We had referred it to our friends in Mass. and they went on this site to see other reviews and saw some upsetting ones. So in response to the other reviews I decided to write one of my own. From the moment we started the plans for our daughters... more

My daughter recently held her wedding reception at this beautiful waterfront hotel.I have to say, the service was impeccable. The white glove service was a special treat and every server had a smile on their face. Our guests are still raving about the food.. The appetizers were plentiful and when it came time for the sit down dinner I was... more

The manager of banquet services is rude and unprofessional. He decided to tell us to go elsewhere when we wanted certain provisions in our contract. He gave us the most generic contract that anyone can get off the internet that did not address anything that would cost us extra. He did not want to put anything about the server ratio... more

Had to cancel a reservation due to a death in the family, when I called to cancel at 11:30am the day of arrival I was told I was too late to cancel that I needed to call be 3pm the previous day which I had never heard of. After being sent to a manager I was told that there were... more

We visited the hotel for 3 nights for a wedding. The reception was in the hotel as well and I must admit the reception, a sit down dinner, was superb...both service and the food. Thumbs up for sure. Our room was the issue. It was small and recently remodeled and very nice. No problem. The problem was that the rooms... more

We recently stayed at the Oyster Point as part of a wedding party. The hotel looks like a relic from and 80's office park from the outside but the inside is hip and modern. Our room was sleek and spacious with a gorgeous view of the river. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food served at the wedding... more

Arrived late evening; 2 employees idly sitting by the door told us we were too late for valet parking and to find our own spot. We did, and carried our own bags even though my husband was recovering from surgery and walking difficulty was obvious. Asked for help with luggage at front desk. No one available. Had to take one... more

Overall - your average hotel. We stayed in a suite, and the room had a bed, and two chairs - the space was not very well occupied. The bathrooms are old and need some renovations. The best feature in the hotel is the view of the Navesink River. The hotel does not have a pool, and does not have a... more

I rely on trip advisor whenever I travel to see what is what. I had to go to a wedding at Shadowbrook (5 minutes away) and instead of going chain (booking from FL), I decided to go to Oysterpoint. The hotel itself is very pleasing...staff accomdating and friendly...room...and I pd $249...on a Sat. in the summer...not outrageous..BUT our room smelled... more

I stayed in this hotel during a business trip to holmdel, NJ. Booked in for 3 nights, got booking easliy but the one that i wanted (river view) seems it was almost fully booked. The front staff was friendly and gave me one night which was available for the river view which was great. Hotel rooms, bathrooms were average. firts... more
