Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a spectacular stay! My husband and I just spent four weeks in a furnished apartment at the AVE Somerset and it could not have been better. The property is gorgeous with a resort style pool. The grounds are immaculate. The one-bedroom apartment we had was perfect with a huge walk-in closet and large in unit washer and dryer. The kitchen is also large and well stocked with cooking utensils, measuring spoons, pots and pans and nice dish and glassware. But the real star of AVE Somerset is the staff. I cannot say enough about how wonderful everyone is, including the maintenance folks. I need to give a big shout out to Amanda who helped arrange all the details of our stay well in advance and who answered every question I had. She could not have been more gracious. And to Kristina who went out of her way to accommodate every request. AVE Somerset is a five-star experience in every way. Thanks to all who made our four weeks here so special. Robin Carter

Between October 2018 and March 2019, I stayed at AVE while on a consulting project. It was great to be able to come back 'home' after a long day at work. I had also stayed at local hotels but having my own place with a well-outfitted kitchen, as well as laundry, was a much better option for me. The apartment was spotless, bed super comfortable, strong wifi, excellent cable TV service (with HBO) and good breakfast in the AM in the main building. And the staff are AMAZING. They really seem to love their job and taking care of their residents. Very minor maintenance issues resolved quickly. Package collection was a plus too! I was not able to take advantage of the pool but it looked fantastic, as did the workout room. I highly recommend this if you are a business traveler who is tired of the hotel stays. I like to cook so having the kitchen was great, but there are plenty of options for local dining and food delivery too.

If you are young, single, and don't mind loud obnoxious parties all hours of the night during weekdays then this is the place for you! This is definitely not the place for families! Quite horrific when your daughter tells you she saw people swimming in the pool in the middle of the night "kissing and locked together"! We have been kept awake till past midnight at least 1-2 nights/week for the past five weeks from parties held at the pool. The pool gate doesn't lock properly, which is a safety issue for young children. The lifeguards were inattentive, and rude. There are no sidewalks in the vicinity of the complex, so you cannot walk safely to the grocery store, nor anywhere else. The furnishings are fantastic, very comfortable. Cleaning service was good, but we are missing some clothes, and a medication box (hoping they were misplaced not stolen). For extended stay families, would definitely try to find something else, maybe further east.

I have to stay in the Somerset area on occasion. I truly wish this wass one of our chosen hotels. So when I stay here its on my dime. But its worth it and this is the best option for stying in the aea. Its not the lowest priced hotel. But it is the best stay in th area and you can cook your own meals in a clean enviornment.

If you happen to be in Somerset, NJ for more than a few days this is the place to be. More like a resort than any other place we have stayed in Somerset. It is spotless with beautiful plantings. Very professionally run.

We were moving in with a total of 3 men for work in a nearby area. The place is really safe and very large areas available The TV is a full HD 46" inch samsung tv in the living room which is very nice. The kitchen items that are available are pretty decent and anything you need extra you can just ask the reception or people working in ave and they will get it for u There is a washing machine for clothes as well as a dryers. Also there is is a dishwasher. They clean the rooms once per week which is ok. If u stay here ull need a car since there is nothing good to eat within walking distance. You need to inform them before leaving by 15 days which is alot but that is their policy. Since 3 bedroom apartment was not available in somerset we booked one 2 bedroom apartment and one 1 bedroom apartment. There is a gym and swimming pool as well as a good business center. Breakfast was available on weekdays only and included yogurt, bread, banana, cake and boiled eggs only upto 9 AM Coffee was available all the time but was sometimes cold. The curtains in the rooms were not so good since they didn't block out sun and you had to wake up early. I'd definitely come back to this place if im ever in the area.
