Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am not typically one to write reviews, but I just had to after this horrendous experience. First of all, when we checked into the room, there were dead bugs in the bathtub and the room was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned, and worst of all, my roommate contracted scabies from the sheets of the bed!!!! Absolutely disgusting. I would never recommend this to hotel to anyone.

Upon arrival the pool was empty with weeds in July....the soda machine did not seem to be working and there was no coffee in the lobby....however after a party nearby with drinks it was an alright place to spend the night and avoid the parkway....the room was clean and cool, the bathroom was clean and functional and only one noise during the night....the next day we got an early start and stopped by a farmstand for a few items

Tried making a reservation. Didn't even know if I was connected to reservations, as the guy just answered the phone "hello." First he asked me what city I was interested in, then the date. Then he handed the phone to someone else, which I found rather strange. When I asked the woman about AARP rates, she rudely answered "we don't offer any." She sounded like she'd rather be anywhere else but at work. She could care less if a reservation was made or not. I used to work in a call center that handled hotel reservations for conventions, so I know what's entailed in making a reservation. If the staff is rude on the phone, can only imagine what they're like in person. Will be staying elsewhere.

When we drove to the property I was horrified. When we checked in I think it was the daughter of the owner and I really kind of felt sorry for her because she was obviously being forced to work at this hideous place by her father. She was nice enough but then we got to our room. The room was horrifying and hideous as you can see from the attached pictures. I went back and told the girl that I wanted a discount because the room was not worth $114 a night and she gave me a $10 discount and told me that we could check out without being charged. I told her that we didn't have any where else to stay and we were tired and needed to rest so I took the meager $10 discount. I tried to explain to the girl and later her mother when we checked out that some of these problems could be easily fixed. For example, the bathroom curtain that looked like it came from a dumpster and the toilet paper holder that was broken. I don't think the mother spoke English very well. I think they were Indian...not that that really matters except how can anyone communicate with someone who doesn't speak English? The pool was empty and there was no breakfast. I can't believe this is a Choice Hotel property!

Pulling into this place I felt worried that it would be terrible and dirty but I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms. It was quiet when we visited (March) so we weren't bothered much. There is only wifi here, no breakfast or laundry like it says on priceline and hotwire. However, your best bet is the Red Roof Inn @ Tinton Falls for a budget stay.

If I had my choice, I wouldn't have stayed here but the room was donated. Didn't have a good stay. The motel was quite run down. I'm lucky that I didn't have any problem with insects. No wifi. Avoid this motel.

Personally I don't like to sleep alone so having those furry little ten legged monsters crawling all over me all night long was comforting. I also enjoyed the lamp that didn't work and the blurry TV it was a nice change from my HD lifestyle. The blood stained carpets were also a nice touch because red is my favorite color. I also enjoy mold and dirty sheets so this place really fit the bill. I could go on and on about the great amenities but I don't want to spoil for everyone. Please book here asap to get the full experience and I promise you won't regret it.

I woould give this 0 stars if I could. We came into town to see American Pharoah run at Monmouth Park. Pulled into parking lot and was horrified. But I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, with it being the lowest cost room around. Went in to office. Small but ok. Shady people around. Checked in and go to room. As we are walking to the room, there is a smooshed dead bug on the curtain facing the outside. Knew that was the 1st sign of trouble. Walked in. Total disgust. The room smelled and was filthy. The walls had dirt all over them. The shower was disgusting. The mattress felt like it was 100 yrs old. The sheets had old dried out paint on them, like they used it to cover furniture at one point. I started to have a panic attack. it was that horrible. Started calling around for rooms, looking online. Nothing. While I was calling for rooms, my hubby seen a cockroach run under the microwave. At that point I said we are leaving. Put our unpacked bags in the car, went to office, told the lady her motel was disgusting and gave her the key and drove away as fast as we could. To all the people that gave it 2 stars, I can't believe ya'll would stay here. Luckily, we drove down the road and walked in to a place that had 1 room left. It was double the price but at that point who cares. FYI. If you are trying to save a few bucks, don't do it. Spend the $ for a better place. This hotel should be condemned. Worst hotel ever!! Don't go to Budget Inn either. It's up the road but just as bad. They did agree not to charge us for the room since we did not stay.

Made the mistake of trying to save the company a few bucks. Paid for it dearly. I had to stayed in such a BAD place in many years. The last time was also in New Jersey. Smelly room, broken furniture. Love birds in the next room going at it all night.

It's a space to lay your head to sleep. Don't bring a swimsuit the pool has no water in it. Didn't even look at the breakfast the lobby was so small. It's a motel that you shouldn't judge by the outside. Not the worse place I've stayed not the best.
