We stayed at the Monterey the 1st. week of September 2008 and found the hotel to be everything I expected from a Wildwood hotel. Save your money. Overpriced and not clean. YOu expect so much more from a higher end hotel but you get slivers of soap in the bathroom with moldy plastic shower curtains, beds are not comfy, towels are "see though" thin. Windows dirty, you can't even enjoy the view. more

I can honestly say that I will never stay at the Monterey Resort again! We had a group stay there for a soccer tournament. The manger, Flo, was the rudest person that I have ever met. When we booked our rooms, we were ready for a great weekend away, what happened we pulled into the Monterey and went into the office and were informed that the room we prebooked was not avaialbe, so they sent us to a hotel in wildwood in the center of everything, this was a vacation to get away from the hustle.... more

Sad to say, but I agree with "Terrible Policies". I too have been going to the Monterey since I have been 15 years old (now 39) and the management is horrible. When Regina was there it was wonderful- she was wonderful! Every year myself and family, which now consists of 23 to 26 people go and have a wonderful time.... more
