We stayed at Addo Rest Camp for 2 nights in the cottages. We pre-booked on the SAN parks website and it was reasonably priced. The park was brilliant a good way of having a safari without going up to Kruger. We had stayed in Kruger the year before and thought the accomodation in Addo was better. The cottage was nice... more

When you cannot visit the Kruger, Addo is the next best thing. The rest camp is clean and the staff is friendly. Better value for money (and lots of elephant) you'll only find a thousand km's from here. We stayed in no 24. more

We booked the Rondavels at Addo Rest Camp through the South African National Parks website and got prime location. Our Rondavel overlooked the floodlit waterhole and we had a great view of the action at night. ...or at least we would have had we stayed up longer and not missed the Rhino cow and her calf after the Elephants had... more

We stayed in cottage number 46 and we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. Some things were getting a little tired but on the whole clean and spacious. I could not believe the pressure and heat of the hot water in the shower! Despite it being wintertime - we saw lots of animals while we were there. That in itself... more

We stayed in Rondavel number 3 which was really well located with views over a waterhole (although there weren't many visitors to it when we were there; still it was a very nice view!). The Rondavel's are great with BBQ, elevated terrace, outdoor fridge (a bonus as it doesn't buzz away whilst you're trying to sleep) and communal cooking hut;... more

We rented a chalet, just for one night, and regretted not staying longer. From the moment of arriving at the barrier at the the entrance to the park, everyone was super friendly and helpful. Our chalet, a semi-detached building with an open plan living area, bathroom and most importantly, stoep over looking the park, was clean and very comfortable. On... more

We came across the Addo Rest Camp accommodation on the SanParks website. After coming to terms with how expensive accommodation is in the private reserves in SA, it was wonderful to find high quality but beudget-priced accommodation at Addo. Check-in was smooth and professional and we were directed to our 1-bed cottage. I was expecting something clean but basic, but... more

Our party of six arrived having booked one night (the website said they were full the following night) but staff managed to change things so we could stay two nights. We're all glad they were so helpful. Sure, the accommodation is basic. What can you expect for the price? Where else can you sit on your veranda and watch elephants... more

Well what can I say. My boyfriend & I stayed in Addo in Jan and it was just wonderful. The 1st two nights we slept in a safari tent which was as it says a canvas tent which overlooked the national park where we saw numerous animals from our veranda. The tent itself was basic but was a great way... more

This was an absolutely fabulous stay - one of the best we've ever had anywhere - which left us wishing we'd booked it for longer. We stayed in a Rondavel (a round hut, with concrete walls and thatched roof) which was cosy, comfortable (a/c + en suite + kettle) and reasonably private. There is also shared cooking facilities with the... more
