This was very interesting with the tented rooms. The tented rooms were kept quite immaculate with the hot water provided by gas heaters which needed tweeking from time to time. The restaurant in the main farmhouse was very good and with the all inclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner it was all presented to a very high standard with some very... more

Having been to a previous Cape game reserve we were unsure how we would find Gorah. We need not have worried. The rangers were full of information, relaxed and took their time to educate us on their subject. Only the natural indigenous species of the area are kept here but these included lions, Elephants, cape buffalo, zebra, jackals and many... more

We had the most awesome time at this very beautiful place. Everything from the moment we arrived to the time that we left was just fantastic - thanks to the Gorah team for this. Our guide Collin (who is an awesome pole dancer!) showed us the most awesome places and things and went where others feared to go! Together with... more

For the first time, I find myself completely at odds with the strong majority view on tripadvisor. Yes, the food is of a high standard. Beyond that, this place was very disappointing. Ok, we were unlucky that it rained on our game drives. But the real problem with rain is that the Gorah land rovers, unlike some other better-equipped parks,... more

Gorah is a unique and amazing place. Service, food, "tents" (they are really like luxury villas) and staff were all perfect and top-notch. We arrived in time for a delicious lunch, where we relaxed on the veranda of the Main House and watched the elephants drink from the watering hole. We had some time to relax in the afternoon and... more

I don't believe there isn't a single thing that hasn't already been said. 4 of us stayed here for 4 days in September. Gorah is a throwback to times gone buy and offers an experience unlike any other I've had. The staff here are positively alive, their enthusiasm for life and for Gorah itself is almost palpable. The rooms are... more

Believe their advertising. A couple of nights here was the highlight of a trip along the Garden Route. All you need is the money and confidence to book it and some sun block. The tents are better than many hotel rooms. The food and wine is good. The wildlife you will see, from dung beetles to perhaps Lions and Elephants... more
