This beautiful little B&B is located on a working orange farm a few minutes from the Addo National Elephant Park. The rooms were beautifully furnished (mosquito netting over the bed, antique furniture). We had an outdoor shower in our room, which was a little chilly in the winter but very fun. The hosts were welcoming, accommodating and very gracious. They... more

Mike and Nita were great hosts. Mike helped us shape our plans which turned out perfect - half day in Addo, half day/evening at Scotias, stop over at Cheetah breeding centre. Their working citrus farm is a great experience. The Labrador pups were fun too. We had a room with the outside shower where you literally shower under the stars... more

We booked Happy Lands based on Trip Adviisor reviews and were not disappointed. It isn't the easiest place to find and is farther away from Addo Elephant Park than we would have liked, but the welcome from Mike and Nita makes up for all that. Other reviewers have said that it's like being part of the family, and so it... more

This was my first stay in South Africa. And happy lands was the first accommodation there. Mike and Nita welcomed my friend and me with great warmth and hospitality. It was nice after a 24.hour trip to feel cozy and relaxed. The place has a built-in comfortableness and is very suggestive. I wish I could have stayed longer, the room... more

Happy Lands was our first night in South Africa and we got the most perfect welcome. Mike and Nita are so friendly - and know what the children want. The kids loved the pool, the lemonade and their little cottage. It's a beautiful home, offering a really warm welcome and some perfect home cooking. I'd highly recommend a stay here. more

Mike and Nita must be the friendliest guesthouse owners I have come across. We had driven 450km the day we arrived not to mentioned getting hit in the hire car. The welcome and lovely home made lemonade were both very refreshing. I had lots of email contact with Mike before we left from UK so it was nice to meet... more

Just returned from a wonderful trip to South Africa and stayed three nights with Mike and Nita. Even before we left home Mike was so helpful via e-mail with the many questions we had. We had the garden room and enjoyed beautiful meals on their verandah where it was fun to meet other guests. Truly a great place to stay... more

A truely special place.Mike and Nita are the most welcoming people, and Mitch and Tara the most welcoming dogs. From the moment we arrived we felt at home, nothing was to much trouble to make our stay special. Our room was comfortable, clean and full of character with the added feature of an outdoor shower with modesty rose bush! The breakfast was... more
