We found this hotel in the Rough Guide and booked it on our way through Barberton. In the guide it said the property was lovely, and the land is, but the house itself isn't. We stayed for one night and didn't get a particularly friendly greeting when we arrived. The room itself was cold and quite sadly furnished. The fixtures and furniture were worn, the colors were garish and there were three sort of canvas frames hanging on the wall, wrapped in a plaid, flannel sheet which were part of the 'decor'. Breakfast was disappointing. The eggs were decent but muslei was like cardboard and the orange juice was cut with apple juice which tasted quite bad. The rates were on the cheap side, but not enough to warrant the disparity between here and other places we stayed.
