After positive reviews on TA, we stayed with fantastic hosts at The Coach House - Sharon and Charles - for 4 nights during our visit to Franschhoek. Sharon had very kindly recommended and booked ahead at a couple of their favourite restaurants - and we were not disappointed! Have to be some of the best places I have ever eaten... more

Sharon and Charlie, not forgetting Smiley the cutest dog ever, made us most welcome in the short time we spent there. Nothing was too much trouble, a real home from home with the extra perks!! Sharon is a real natural and always went that extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. A fabulous place to stay in... more

The Coach House is in an ideal location just a few minutes walk away from the main street in Franschhoek but in a quiet, residential area. Sharon and Charlie are friendly and helpful hosts and they have decorated the rooms beautifully and with real attention to detail. The bathrooms are immaculate, and obviously brand new. We would definitely choose the... more

This is a lovely place to stay and Sharon and Charles went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, give us information, and help us out when needed (getting jump leads for us from their friend when our car batter went flat). If you're eating at Tasting Room the Coach House is about a 2 minute walk away... more

From the minute we arrived we were made so welcome and that welcome continued throughout our stay. The rooms were so lovely, large and very airy with all amenities a small guest house could offer. The beds were comfortable with beautiful crisp white linen which was changed daily. The bathroom was plush with an endless supply of white, warm fluffy... more

Even before I'd met Sharon & Charlie ( plus Smiley & Marmalade), I knew we had picked the right place to stop over. Sharon went out of her way to help me arrange tricky transport to the Coach House, what a gem! One night was NOT enough but we had to move on, reluctantly. The Coach House is a lovely... more

Considering this was kind of a last minute reservation Sharon held the room for us without any guarantee which i thought was lovely but May is a slow period. Knowing she'd be away as well was unfortunate as i then knew i could not meet her and say thanks personally. In her absence the woman who filled in, was nice... more

We had 2 fantastic stays at the Coach House during our 2 week tour of the winelands and the Garden Route. The Coach House is beautifully decorated and immaculately kept. During our first visit we stayed in a large loft style room, lovely furnishings, huge comfy bed with quality linen, TV, mini fridge and a chic, large, modern bathroom. During... more

On our first visit to South Africa and the winelands area we had booked our accomodation after reading positive reviews both of the area and The Coach House. We were not disappointed! The scenery in the winelands area is jaw droppingly lovely and Franschhoek itself is small, pretty, very stylish and friendly. We had booked two nights at The Coach... more
