From my 1st call to the Hotel,Yolande was curtious, accommodative.Quentin our waiter for dinner was knowledgeable,not only about menu but also what was happening around the town.The friendliness of all the staff,cleanliness of hotel,was excellent,it is a venue I will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

We came through the Franschoek pass on a beautiful Saturday afternoon with no reservations. Our bad. Luckily the Protea staff was wonderful and we secured their last two rooms. The staff then helped direct us to get the most out of this wonderful village. Also, this hotel was a very good value.

This hotel was at one end of the main street in this very beautiful town. The rooms faced an inner courtyard, so were very quiet. Our room was upstairs, but this meant only one flight of stairs. Hotel is perfectly situated at the end of the central Main Street - easy walk to restaurants and shops but away from traffic noise. Rooms are clean and well kept, central pool is as a very nice place to spend time.

Protea Hotel Franschoek managed to give us 5 star service during our stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again or recommend the hotel without hesitation.
