We stayed at The Franschhoek Inn because of the location. We needed somewhere close to the town center so we could walk in to one of the restaurants for dinner with out the need of a car, and the hotel was perfect for this. The Hotel is generally clean (although there were a couple of small issues with the room),... more

The hotel had good-sized rooms with a great view of the mountains from my room. Staff were friendly and room service decent. Overall, a good budget hotel. more

We spent two nights at this hotel when on a Jules Verne tour of South Africa. The room was lovely and looked on to the pool and garden. There were great views of the surrounding hills. It was only a short walk into town where there were many restaurants. We liked the food at French Connection. The breakfast was good. more

The hotel is very well located; 10 minutes walk to the centre. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Staff in the hotel were very pleasant. Breakfast buffet was good, though heated food was a little over cooked. Small swimming pool in the middle of the complex. Excellent views of surrounding hills. The major problem was the transfers that the hotel... more

Loved Franschhoek and loved being able to walk into town. This ability to walk into town was so significant it made up for below to the extent we would probably stay here again ahead of the 5 star rated places. Most impersonal place we stayed in south africa, we got there early and hotel seemed empty but we had to... more

Just a few tips if you are thinking of staying here: Cleanliness: Shower dirty. Carpet needs renewing as it has that dirty feel. Clean sheets though! Service: Staff were good. Location: just outside Franschhoek, with an easy walk into the town. No complaints. Value: All depends on the deal you get but make sure you get a deal. Rooms: Maybe... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night only before heading down to the more expensive Le Franschhoek. The hotel was very nice – the rooms are small but they are clean and the location is great. But the best thing about this hotel was the staff. They were all very friendly and really nice. They gave us great advice... more

We turned up in Franschhoek without somewhere to stay, and being the largest hotel in the town we headed straight here and fortunately they had a room at a reasonable price. We were pleasantly surprised, the rooms are very tastefully decorated and there was a clean modern bathroom with a shower and bath. The bed was very confrtable. The staff... more

We stayed here hoping to have a romantic break without kids at the end of a family holiday. The room was large and well equipped. The pool area was great with plenty of loungers. Breakfast was fine with friendly service. Hotel is on the main street in Franschoek so v well placed for exploring the town. We really enjoyed our... more
