Couldn't believe this wonderful place had never been reviewed and really want others to know about it as it really is fabulous. We celebrated our honeymoon there and it was wonderfully romantic.
Firstly Burgundy Bourgougne (BB) is a working wine estate and it has 2 ( think there might now be a third) 5 star self catering cottages nestled in amongst the vines and overlooking the picturesque farm dam. Lovely mountain views. The cottages are built in traditional Cape Vernacular style and are full of charm and atmosphere. They have two beautiful en-suite bedrooms with very comfy beds. The entire cottage is very tastefully decorated and are more than spacious enough for two couples. There is a kitchen that is fully equipped, although we didn't really make much use of it. Each cottage has its own large pool.
If you are visiting the Cape Winelands and Franschhoek and don't really want to stay in a hotel, you can't get better than Burgundy Bourgogne. Hoping to go back again this year. more
